someone should post a RE: ad just above it as a warning to potential buyers with links to this thread...... maybe they will wake up and smell the coffee when ALL of their business is affected

Also talked to Jason with HTP via text for an hour or so.

He wouldn't say when people will get money or parts, because well they dont have any money. Says that they lost their ass with the rally cars, and that he is trying to take over the business from Brian, because Brian is the one who ruined the business.

I would suggest talking to your CC company or call the cell number in the CL ad and talk to Jason direct. He is working a 2nd job to try and keep HTP afloat, and are very close to shutting down.

First thing you learn in any business school. Just because you are good at a trade doesnt mean you can run a business.

Also if they file bankruptcy that means they have no obligation to pay anyone back. The only why you would get your money back is to go to the bankruptcy proceedings and file a claim. Then when they sell off all the companies assets you may be lucky enough to get your money.

Thanks for posting this update Chaney. It doesn't sound too good. :( I was hoping it wouldn't go this way, but it's looking like Marcy Motorsport all over again.

well rally will run your ass into the poor house and it looks like they probably used the customers money to fund that then got them self in deep.
i think its BS that they are ignoring it though.

also one of them got mad at me cause i stated on a uk forum they i didnt think they were finishing their RS project. (cause they knew i was looking for body panels) and they offered theirs to me, (i didnt know they had 2 sets) and the body panels sold to someone else. so i figured they werent finishing it, and supposedly they got pissed off and were talking down about me to other people (members) when i had pm's at etc.

There are usually critical tipping points when a business tries to "take it to the next level", and they can be capital intensive and very tricky. It's at these times when things can go terribly wrong, i.e. getting over-leveraged etc.

I don't know if that is the instance in this case, and I'm not making excuses for them, simply stating a fact of business.

I don't think that HTP got into business intending to rip people off. But, of course, that doesn't help those that are out money and/or parts. :(

In situations like this, perception makes it difficult to tell the difference between a poorly run business and a scam.

Normally I'm not one to jump in on a thread like this but I find it hard to believe that Jason is now the one taking over because I responded to one of their craigslist ads a week or 2 ago and got Brian responding to me. I was hesitant to send them any money so I backed out of what was for sale mainly due to this. I found it odd that I got nearly an immediate response when people in here aren't getting anywhere with them. If Jason really wants to go separate he should create his own company and build his rep from the base up in my opinion.
