On the flip-side, they could just as easily not offer any turbo/performance models in our market at all... again. Would you prefer nothing or something?

They don't offer a 3 door here at all anymore, for w/e reason, why would they bring a 3 door just as the ST?
I'm not asking for JUST the ST in a three door, I think they should bring the three door in multiple trim levels.

I think some of you need to understand something. We are a small percentage of potential Fiesta buyers. We are enthusiasts who are passionate about our cars, how they look, etc. Unfortunately, the vast majority of the people who would be buying a Fiesta are not enthusiasts, and are in the mindset of simple practicality. Which in this case, means Ford doesn't see enough of a market demand for a 3 door to warrant tooling the assembly plant to build them and bring them over. And on top of that, they would need to be stocked on dealer lots, and many dealers just want to sell cars to whoever, and would say "the 5-door is easier to sell than the 3-door". It is a sad but true fact of the American car-buying public. There's a reason the term "IJAC" came to be in the first place; the huge majority of the general public see a vehicle and say "it's just a car" and care more about basic practicality and multi-function than they do sporty styling and handling. I personally don't blame Ford for making what appears to be a safe business decision.

Wouldn't it be safer to bring both so you have the whole demographic covered? :dunno:

Both my wife and two step daughters are far from enthusiasts and all three admit that the 3-door is a better option. One of those daughters opted out of buying a Fiesta because of it. She went to a huyndai instead. The dealer was like "why would you want a 3-door when you can get 2 extra doors?" The daughter pretty much told her, Because it is a better choice.

I would have said, "why would I buy a car from you, when I can go somewhere else where they don't argue with my personal preferences!"
