Might I suggest a single color wheel next time. The black / chrome really takes away from the OEM look of the car.

I know you're not nearly that low, but a simple design would really compliment your car.

I agree and disagree. And the bright parts are machined not chrome. Just say no to chrome.

The next set of wheels will be a single color, and probably not black. I've toyed with the idea of going with a gunmetal color, but I would really need to see the wheels on the car. Also been looking at some satin finished wheels (I'm not a fan of polished).

I disagree in the fact that we (for the most part) put wheels on our cars to get away from the OEM look don't we?

As for simple... Well theres a simple design and then there's boring. I tend to like spokey wheels over a traditional 5 spoke design. But there are some 5 spokes out there that aren't bad. Lke the Rota P45F and P45R's.

Edit: Removed the 45 that somehow ended up at the top...

Wheels with lots of spokes are fine, the finish and style of the ones you have look a little ... ricey ... to be honest. That's what I was trying to convey by stating you should get something a little more OEM looking. Again, just my opinion, but I think a good set could really make the car look as good as it sounds.

Started with a red '68 GT Stang I bought while in service, 1974, in Ft. Campbell Kentucky, 390 4speed. Had rusty rear frame rails so once I got back to Alabama I sought out a replacement body. First was a '66 Fairlane GTA, auto car. Used that for about a year and came across a '68 Midnight Blue GT, no engine. Didn't know till after I customized it was 1968 Special Edition Mustang built for the east coast dealers(like the California Special was for west coast), loaded up with 390HP, 4speed, 9inch N case, came with stock with fiberglass trunk and end caps(duck tail was straight across instead of curved like C/S). After someone clip my quarter, decided to go Maier Racing f/g flares, quarters, front apron and 67'GT500 hood. Was running a 3x2 setup on the 390GT engine when I bought a 428SCJ short block, traded my six pack setup to Victory Ford for a 427 High Riser heads and intake(next thing just under Tunnel Port), this required the block to be notched for intakes to clear cylinder walls(tulip intakes and sodium filled exhaust valves)built one helluva motor, torque...you could pull trees from ground. Once the engine was fired, drove to exhaust shop to connect up system, once open headers were capped I was hearing small pinging only very slight. Had to tear down, notch pistons for valve reliefs and re-balance assembly. The rear end was a N case with 3.90 traction loc. Ran some SCCA events before it was painted, stayed primed for 5yrs

before the rims

Mods:
Stage 2 Kenne Bell supercharger (4'' pulley, approx. 9 lbs of boost)
Kooks long-tube headers
Borla exhaust
18x9/10 black bullit rims by American Muscle
Steeda rear control arms
Raxiom tinted taillights
Redline Tuning bolt-in hood struts
shorty antenna

Future Mods:
-This winter I plan on doing something with the suspension, getting a chin spoiler (or possibly a Roush front bumper), and Saleen HID's
-Eventually I want to build the engine (crank, rods, pistons, cams, etc..), add a 3-3.25'' pulley, and go for even more hp

Very nice.

It's kind of weird to see the intake going off of the right side of the car. I'm so used to see almost every blower out the run the intake on the drivers side.

Here's my 81 Honda cx500c. Wanted a bike when I got my motorcycle license this spring and am super happy with it as a good first bike, although I do wish I knew about the CX500 turbo!

Here it as the day I got it:

And here it is now after some clip-ons, a new seat, exhaust wrap, new speedo and tach, new ignition, and some other clean-up:
