Since its a full time track car I never go on track until I have temp, both water and oil. With that being said, car ran perfect in the morning session, 30 mins, second session started acting up, 3rd session 3 laps in.

This is one of the coolest threads I've read on any focus forum... the shots of your car mid-corner: awesome!
I'm karting this summer to save what little I make to keep my focus in decent shape; I need to meet up with ya at VIR to assuage my racing-fix!

Ok update from the track. Qualifying first thing sat morning. New tires, 215/45 -16 kumho, square shoulder model. I like the tire, put the car on the pole for ITA in the sarrc race for sun, qualify for sat afternoon race second in class, .5 from pole. Problem solved. NOPE. First in morning prep chasing the power and leads to the fuel pump driver, we realize the inertia switch is still operational. It's mounted behind one of the roll cage legs, so 20 mins to get to it. Once out of the car it appears to be fine, until we test with a multimeter. Shake it and it breaks continuity, re-set and it works fine until it jarred. SH T is this the cause of the nightmare, we take the green for the afternoon race, and naturally I decide on a different set of tires for the race. Note to self ( you are a dope) should have run what I qualified on. No stick with the set I put on, car loose as hell, like driving on ice. Well i screwed this up, since it was an enduro, I give the car to my co driver, he leaves pits and the car starts missing, well remember I didn't take out the bypass switch, so when in the pits for driver swap, motor running it was just about flooding. So parts store in the am for new o2 sensor, new plugs in and we will try in the am to see if it will run. Keep your fingers crossed, cause I am starting from pole if the bitch will run.

Update from the weekend, had a spare o2 sensor, but for a/f meter, not the computer, part store can have it for mon, no good. So we run the hardship 15 min at 8 am, frost on the ground and this car will not turn, but able to do data log, send to my tuner, he doesn't see anything and everything runs good. 10am off to the races. We have two on sun, my sprint race and the enduro. First race is the sprint, start on the pole for ITA, 9 cars in class, 13th overall, 45 in the field, one BMW, one escort gt and 7 miatas. Short of it, Focus kick butt, my first win in 7 years and I finished 9th overall, passed an ITR Mustang. Set a consistent lap time 2 sec better than last year. Great start to the day. Second race was the enduro, 8 cars in ITA, fiero 6 cyl on the pole, we are 2nd. 6 laps in I pass ten cars to catch up, pass the fiero, go to first place, pass the car to my co-driver. Lose the lead to the fiero in the pits, and finish 2nd. My co-drive did great, I need to give him a bigger lead, but a great weekend. So what was the cause of the screwed up fuel delivery, we believe at this point it was a faulty inertia switch, a 37$ part we have chased for almost one year. Time will tell, but part removed, two perfect runs, a/f was 12.3-13.2 at wot at 6k in 5th gear, fuel pressure 40 at wot water 195, oil 200 and oil pressure at 60. The car drove on to the trailer under its own power and two trophies came home, Go Focus. Thanks to everyone who has chimed in on this problem, your help eliminated everything till we got to this. Thanks again.

Trying to load the video from the race and no luck, but my friend sends me his go pro run from directly behind us for about five mins. This is my co driver one lap after the driver swap, the camera is mounted on the roof of an ITA Miata. Pat the driver had a great drive after the winter break, we lost the lead to a slow pit stop ( I am slow and old) but we finished in second place within 4 sec of the leader, with another lap the 6 cly fiero was ours.:). Check out on u tube

We were able to load the first half of the race, that's me racing, the second video is pat my buddy from the view of the Miata. Enjoy.

We didn't post up all the video cause I had a friend do it and it was taking so much time, converting from my camera to DVD, then to the format he could work with. I did pass him one lap later, this was the first time I could actually screw with a friend on track ( fiero driver is a buddy) before turning the car over to my co driver. Pat is very good and careful, so I wasn't expecting a recorded drive for pat. Had I given him a bigger lead, and a faster pit stop we could have, should have, maybe keep the lead. It still was a great race and everyone was super pleased.

Weekend race report, ran at CMP Carolina motorsports park. Chasing points in the southeast for the ITA sarrc series so off we went to the track in SC some call Kershaw . This is a track I have never liked. With the cars new suspenion let's try again. Entered two sarrc races, well an emergency call to a well known poster here (teamDFL) and a long talk about entry and exit strategy got me comfortable, well better than that. Qualified 2nd in class 8th out of 34. Very pleased and I passed the very fast crx by turn two., 4 laps and still in the lead, oh no, ran out of talent at lap 4.5. A little bobble going into turn 8, and back to second. Finished there and ran 55's with a qualifying lap of 1.54.7. Very pleased, sun race qualified 3rd, got to the bumper of the same crx, never got to make a solid pass but chased a very fast car trying to learn. Well I learned I can't run that guys line, but I got solid second, he'll we kicked the butt of 5 miatas, one BMW, and an RX-7. Great weekend and I don't hate Kershaw anymore.

Time to go racing again, sarrc marrs challenge at vir, car running well, new suspension springs are getting more comfortable to throw around. New tires mounted and running an old compound hawk blue to compare with dtc 60 compound brakes. The rear we still are using the cheapest autozone set, with anything else we still get lock up but not nearly as much as before, I think it's also a function of much stiffer fronts. Initial preview looks like an ITA turnout of 18 cars in just my class and a starting field of 50 or so, so this could turn into a real race weekend for the ITA field and the one focus. :)
