Congratulations, Mike. Proud of you that you stuck with it for so long and now have a ride that will terrorize the best of them.

Congrats mike, its well deserved!
Thanks!

I go by the dyno and get your dyno graphs mike, wish I could of been there for the final runs.
Sounds good. Fernando was having fun zip-tying vac lines, then we found the 80lbs injectors in the door after the runs. hahaha

Wow! Sounds Great!
Much better in person!

This 2.3 seems to be quite promising! Cant wait to see numbers!
Chris mentions the final number at the end of the first video.

Thanks. I'm surprised I stuck with it too. So much crap to deal with, and now after FR13 & FF13, I gotta get the hand controls put in with the donations from FF12 to good use.

So the rumors are getting around now. Here's the bumscoop:

A day after tuning back in late May, my car overheated. The cause turned out to be melted wires to the RS radiator fans...You'd think ceramic coated pipes would help...ha. 240F for me is too high; especially in Florida's 90+F weather. We were able to get by after letting her cool down. The drive across Tampa Bay is pretty long and with the ocean breeze kept the temps down to 180F. As you saw in the video in my previous update, we loaded the car up on the trailer for the show as soon as we finished tuning Jeremy's car.

Sooooo after the show, Jeremy offered to fix the melted wires. Along the way he discovered the turbo wasn't spooling properly at idle or with a light touch of the gas pedal. As you probably guessed already, the turbo's central hub rotating assembly (CHRA) overheated too. Water & Oil cooled turbos can be a pain sometimes. So now that's off and disassembled awaiting a RMA with Garrett. I also plan to add a turbo blanket and wrap my downpipe this time.

Low cars have their probs, boosted cars have 'em too...

Mike with that turbo setup you will not be able to use a turbo blanket. As you can see the head had to be cut to make the turbo just fit. A turbo blanket wraps around the exhaust housing and there just isnt enough room. Maybe you can have someone cut the blanket short and sew it where it was cut.

Looks like more can be shaved off without breaking a seal. I can't see what the side/bottom view is here, but I doubt it'll lose structural integrity taking off most of the lip.

Yes it can but if you look at the turbo compared to the spot you will see it sits on top of that piece not so much against it. I think I have a pic to better show you.

This is Jim's way of saying, give me money to make a new manifold and downpipe.
Lol no it's my way of saying that **** don't work or I would of made you put a blanket on there.

His **** needs something though, lol. So much melted crap.
O I totally agree we talked about this when I first installed the kit. I told mike i dont know how well its all gonna hold up. Ill see if i can find someone who can cut a blanket down and re sew it.

You saw how close it is to the head. even if you took out that piece of the head it wont work correct?
