if its a duratec you wont see any writing under the hood if its a zetec then you will see the word zetec imprinted on the valve cover.

If you see nothing but a rat's nest of wires and cables when you pop your hood, then it's a Duratec. If it's fairly neat and tidy with the white Zetec label on the valve cover, then, well, it's a Zetec :thumbup::lol: Welcome to the 'Jet by the way

Not from my memory. The 2.3L was available in any Focus as either an option and/or standard, depending on the state. I recall Car and Driver doing a Short Take on a 5-sp wagon (ZTW). It was mainly to cater to "green" states.

Yeah....I guess I worded that a little unclear...I just worded it like that because he has a ZX3...so I was using that as my example. You could get the 2.3 in 03-04 in other trim levels, but 05 started the use of the 2.0 duratec as the standard motor, with the 2.3 only being available for the ST.

1. What is in the Focus_Pocus' (OP) car that is a 2003 ZX5?

2. What is in Zx3Menace's car?
