2012 Focus rear view mirror removal

I did a quick search and couldn't find out how to remove the rear view mirror anywhere. Granted this is my first newer Ford, so perhaps this is general knowledge. But if not, here is how to remove a 2012 rear view mirror.

I was prepping my new Foci for tint the next day and had to remove the rear view mirror for the front strip. The goal is the use a flat blade screwdriver that just fits with width of the slotted hole found on the bottom side of the mirror mount. The screwdriver will be used to "lift" the mirror over the ridge, pointed out by orange arrows, that holds the mirror from sliding off.

With a very easy and consistent twist of the screwdriver, grasp the mirror by the step and gently wiggle and pull in an upward direction. If mirror doesn't begin to slide upward, twist screwdriver a little more. Easy does it! Up and out.

huh same as every other rear view since like 90

I've owned 18 vehicles. Two have been Fords. Never once seen a mirror like this. However as stated before, perhaps this is common knowledge to Ford devouties. Just not to an import guy.

I searched the net to find info on Ford mirrors and no pics. So here are pics for others that are curious as well. :thumbup:
