Had to fill up the car tonight at a total of $28.01 for 11.923 gallons!
On the upside, averaged just over 26mpg. Thats basically 85% city 15% highway miles. Also my right foot tends to get a little heavy on occasion. Just wish this "oil" bs would level off & prices come back down to reasonable amount.
Dude come on you live in CT you should know better by now! CT wants to compete with cal and Hawaii for the highest price gas in the states. Just don’t come to southwester CT, Gas here is over $3 a gallon at allot of stations. In NYC the other day I filled up and spend $32, on a 10 gallon fill up. Then the other day I spend like $32 in jersey to fill up from COMPLETELY empty.
To back up what 'FocusinZX3' said earlier. Prices won't becoming down that much. Between the war, India & China, huricane season and too few refineries... I believe we have seen the end of sub $2 gas.
Or if you live in CT we are seeing the end to sub $3 a gallon. Here they just raised the gas tax. The way they raised it, it is now a percentage, so the more stations charge the more tax you pay. I can’t really complain though because we don’t have any tolls in CT, toll booths are considered a safety hazard in CT, and were removed years ago after a horrific accident at a toll booth. Also the extra tax money is being used towards the transportation system. There is about another billion $ they are planning on spending to improve roads and trains here.
and i am buying a mustang soon
almost makes me want to reconsider. however i have goals to make it handle as well as my focus, and have power to boot i will live with its thirstyness
One of my friends gave up driving his mustang and his beater car and went out and bought a SRT-4. The gas mileage on his 2 old cars was so bad it was CHEEPER for him to buy a new car than to drive his beaters. He was spending like $400-$500 in gas a month. He does not even drive that far, He drives maybe 20 miles round trip to work and back home.
