smedly1, now obviously I haven't put mine on the car yet since I have the little automatic problem, but sitting here playing with the TB it seems like the extemely tight spring wants to slam the thing closed. Are you sure something else isn't sticking? If the spring tension is really the sticking problem it will be difficult to loosen the spring since the TB assembly won't let you over compress the spring. Sorry no real good ideas.

Smedly,
I have tried opening the tb open and loosening the spring one complete turn. It loses all of its spring then and will barely close if you do that.

Therefore, I strongly recommend just opening and closing the tb for about 20-30 minutes continiously..That will help wear away some of the areas that may be sticking, and will also help loosen the spring.

I just came back from a 60 mile mountain drive. One thing I noticed, going downhill she revved to high heaven. This did not occur on uphills and once I got out of the city,it stopped happening on level ground. This got me to thinking could this be a combination of two very new mods?
1>Fidanza lightwieght flywheel
2>Focus central 65mm throttle body.
I haven't touched the spring on the TB cuz I figured a good dose of high speed mountain driving where I am constantly applying the gas and shifting would give the spring a thorough workout.
