I found mine (silver w/ red inserts) with no options, but it wasn't that easy, since Ford tends to make a decent profit in marking the extras up. Bought mine 06/02 so I don't even know if you can find very many if any of the new stock that dosn't come with at least one option. I do thin that it might be easy to find one w/o the sunroof, as well as the cold weather package. So then you'd just be stuck with the Audiophile package. Now for '03 there is also the euro (is that the name?) package which has bitchin' Recaro seats that are very attractive. My problem with options is that beyond cost they also add weight, and this little ride dosn't need to be heavier.

When I was looking for mine, there were probably 8-12 left in San Diego County -- I think MAYBE 1-2 were optionless.

I think Jimmy is looking for info where to find one TO BUY.. I'm sure there are many of you on the board that already have one, but that doesn't do his brother much good.

 

Call SVT? See how many "No Options" SVT's they made and maybe find our where they went? Could be worth a try. That or hit a different dealer that aren't asses about stuff like that.

Another possible choice is to run a search on fordvehicles.com where you can specify which car you would like to have with or without options and it will give you the dealerships within you zip code area.That is how I found my SVTF and gave the info to my local dealership and they got the car for me.Keep in mind the choices for the 02 SVTF's are limited but with the 03's you might be able to order from the factory but that will take more time to arrive but at least it will be equipped the way your brother wants it.I hope this helps.

Ya, I'll sell you mine for 14k. Audiophile only, no sunroof. z-engineering motor mount, AEM cai. I'll even throw in a full tank of gas.

 

I posted this in the Racing forum because the No Sunroof is in my mind, the real race car verson of the SVT. However, I stand corrected and here I am. I will let him know about your offer Silver SVT. If you were serious. I know we will be down for vacation in September @ OBX

Does a Suburu WRX have a sunroof? No it doesn't. That should tell you why the SVT shouldn't as well.

 

I ordered mine with no options at no extra cost. I had to shop around for a dealer who would do it as the first two wanted to charge me extra. I did have to wait till august to get my car.
