just checking, because I want to head back up there when it starts to cool down again, and hike the bright angel trail down to the bottom

 

Did that as a family in February, for my mom's 50th birthday. (Backpacked to Phantom Ranch and back out overnight) Pretty impressive views.

 

yeah, last time I went up I only had time to hike down to the mid point, rest my feet for a while, and hump it back out. It is beautiful up there.

 

For those that don't have anything to do with the detailing, when should we arrive at the restaurant?

 

Of course, even if you're not in on the detailing, you can still drop by and "hang with the gang" for a while.

See the detail thread for map. If you come from the west side via the 101 it would only be a few blocks out of your way.

 

I am going to say around 6pm.. now, thats if we are started with the detailing around say, 8am or so..

but if anything changes as far as the time goes, I will try to post on here so no one is left in the dark..

When leaving the parking lot DO NOT go out of the driveway closest to the BK. It is too steep and will eff up your bumper. I promise. I thought I broke my car coming out of there one day, it scrapped all the way up to an inch below the lower grill

 

thats the mill ave exit. go out on southern where its flat.

 

^Yep...It's hard to tell by these pictures, but I had to take the light bar and lights off and straighten everything back up. Pissed..
