Just got my Steeda R bar and it's frickin' HUGE

28.6mm diameter solid steel bar is big. It's nothing flashy-- gold-cad plated with new bushings. Looks like a true race part. I'll let you guys know more when I get it installed. Still no word on when the matching front bar will be released. Right now I am leaning heavily toward a F H&R on the stiffest setting (two adjustments, not three like I thought) to match this.

MichaelXi, any word lately on the LCA issue when using big bars like this on the Focus. As far as I know, there was only the one or two failures ever.

Pics of it would be awesome.

i'm pretty sure that the current 14" hubcap lower models of the sedans, don't have rear bars, and i have seen certain SE models have them and some don't. but every ZTS i've seen, had them. i think it depends on the package deal.

Just as an FYI. I thought I would measure my stock front anti-sway on my '03 SVTF. I mesured it with digital calipers and the result was surprising:

21.96mm not the 21mm it "supposedly" was. Looks like there's no need to upgrade.

BTW, I also installed my Steeda rear 28.6mm bar and the initial results are a big

. The rear is much firmer and feels great.

with the Steeda rear bar, and SVT front, do u feel this a good combo? Does it make the rear step out really easy? and what spring/shocks r u running, stock SVT?

Right now, I have about 5 miles on the Steeda Bar. I'm not sure how easily it will make the rear step out, but the 22mm Front and the 28.6mm rear are a recommended setup from Steeda. I'm not expecting my focus to be "tail-happy" by any means.

BTW, I'm running Steeda springs with Koni yellows.

Well, to add to the confusion, apparently since 2003, base model Focuses don't get a rear sway bar anymore.
Then what's that thing under the back of my base 2003.5 ZX3?
is it really base? Mine's only A/C and it's a later 2k3 with the PZEV and i've got none. Funniest part about this is...I can own corners just as well as my old neon with the "Sport" suspension and F/R sways

. I really need to get one on this.
