Sweet Cougar! V6 with the 5 speed is a killer car, and it seems as though there are pleanty of Duratec mods that carry over from the SVTC variant. The color matched headlights really set off the front end too!

the gun metal rims looked wayyyyyyyyyyyyy better IMO

I love it bro, my buddy has a '99 Cougar V6 5-speed and it's definitely an awesome ride

ummm i think the big obvious cf hood prevents it from being a true sleeper. when i see a cf hood on a car not matched i think it either has a lot of go or nothing at all. I like the headlights a lot and the tail light covers are nice but i prefer the euro approach to the cougar

i am not trying to go all ricey with it, hence not really touched the body except with little things. i love the look of carbon fiber so i dont really like to hide it. they stopped making cf fenders. if i can pick up a set i might have to use them.

i actually like the stock lines so thats why i am adding the lip kit. I have almost everything that the roush package came with except the springs, since i opted for coil-overs.

on the exterior i am adding the roush kit and if i do not find cf fenders then i am going to paint the corners of the hood along the body lines.

i was toying with a all over paint on the car. a two tone that used the stock laser red( close to sangria red) and lexus graphite grey(looks very close to carbon fiber
here is a crude photoshop/paint

very cool man! You helped solve a major mystery for me. I have wondered since I got them, what kind of wheels I had. Now I know they are the roush wheels, with a gunmetal painted center. They look cool, but are heavy as heck!

when i was in the states i was stationed at fort campbell, in tn/ky area.

currently the car is in savannah with my wife...

do u have pics of your rims?

yeah i know they are heavy. i have 5 of them

thank you. any other thoughts or comments on the car. i am thinking of picking upa second car and park the cougar for show. i am thinking of a CSVT or another foci

lookin great! i DEFINITELY wanted a cougar for a while (and may again.. pending teh reveal of the Focus Coupe)
What's your s/n on NECO?

my name on newcougar.org is fordrule

yeah the rx-7 and sti aren't any fun......the rsx was fun to dust but he is boosted also now so half the time i am playing catch up. but i still hang with them......my overall goal is to turn this car to a boosted v6.....gt35r FTW.......... i would be over 400whp easily...since i have a little one on the way the dreams are on hold and i am just going to finish the kit, finish the tuning and tweak the suspension....

thanks for all the feedback , i miss my car so much ...everytime i goto the track i like to pick on the sport compacts that aren't spraying or boosting, espically the ricers, and the big boys like calling me out lol mainly the srt-4, lexus, evos, sti's, mustang, comaros and gto's. i usually get to beat up o nthe v6 comaros and mustangs...depending on the launch and the wheel hop.... i like earning there respect because the mustang crowd thing i am a ricer lol but i hang with gt's lol they dont like that
