Of which decals do you speak Kona? I saw dozens? I liked the dude who had the "jet" sticker and then had the "Team Norcal" right below that. That was tight! I was just getting on the jet when we were talking about the stickers for the Dezert last time. I'd be all over them now...here ye, here ye sticker gods.

 

I really like the transparent ones.

No the ones FJ sells are pretty simple. Like Jeff's but in a few different colors.

Those are ok stickers though. So, Kona all of the other ones that I have seen have been independently made or are they just discontinued by the Jet?

 

Those logos are custom made. I really like the one with the state. If we were to do the same I’d suggest a silhouette of the state with what ever color border. Jamming maybe a big and bold "FJ" or "Focaljet" smack dab in the middle. At the bottom of the state in small letters "the Dez". All four Dezert states are pretty square so they could do the same. I don’t have an imaging program on me right now to draw up something but I guess we can talk more about it at Todd’s.

Hey guys I know a little about graphic design here is what i came up with from kona's description

let me no what you think and i could change it up or whatever maybe we could get em together for fotb

 

Here is the one i came up with, a year or two back.

 

Wow bro, Nice job. That's pretty stinkin' good for so fast. Here's a couple of recommendations:
1. Better font?
2. Decrease the size of the "FJ" so that it's inside of the parenthetical marks.

Very cool design though...good thinking Kona! Way to go VofR.

 

BTW, I have a contact who could make these for us. I'm not sure what the price would be yet, but he does all of the work for my semi-trucks and he's been very resonable for us. If I could get a file to e-mail him, we could maybe pull these off for you guys by FOTB. I may even be willing to front you all the cash to get them done, then everyone who wants one can just buy them back from me? Let me know what you all think.

yeah thanks any suggestion on a font. the one i used is the one used in the actual [FJ] logo so thats why i used it. The only problem i see will be size. From what i know. They will have to be around 6 inches tall to work. And even then we may lose the quotations and periods.

 

That was pretty close to what I was thinking (the logo). Darn all I wanted was one but really small. I kind of thought that with the letters that's why I suggested "FJ" and "the Dez".

From what I remember it was "Dezert Focus" in cursive. Can't reference it though because the thread was severed.

Kona I have the origonal template at my house you can look at it tomorrow when you come over. It does say Dezert Focus with the Z in cursive. I like the state back ground but I think the top half of the state should have the state flag colors in it and the bottom should have the Dezert Focus and underneith it should read FJ focaljet.com

VofR, nice improvement from the first. By font change, I meant for the "Dezert Focus" part. Which brings me to another point, I think the old stickers said "Dezert Focus" not "the Dezert." Also, maybe we could tinker with having all of the font overlaying the state as a background. Like have the state a bit smaller and then the font over the state? Just an idea.

 

i can design one like todds talking about but finding someone to make them for a resonable price will be tricky most people will just say it can't be done.

 

I think AZ1's Idea will be good too.

 

I really think that my contact could make vinyl stickers very easily (he does it for me often) for a really decent price. I wouldn't want to shoot off potential prices, but he does all of the signage on my semi-trucks for about $40.00 a sign and that's a big vinyl piece. One-fourth the size...maybe one-fourth the price or less if in quantity. I just have to have some solid artistry to send him. I'll call for a rough quote on Monday, but we'll really be pushing it to make before FOTB.

 

I know it can be done but people don't like doing technical multi-color vinyl cuts like the one below to get done for fotb we would have to choose between these four plus this one with out the flag and i have to know the software your contact uses or he will have to rebuild the file from scratch other wise i could set it up if i have acess to the software then all he has to do is cut it.
