Just curious on whether you get the "I want to drive" "I want to learn to drive a stick on your car"... cant get the clutch pedal down lol. Would you let you girl learn how to drive a stick on your car? Discuss

HELL NO....that's after seeing what happened to her previous cars

I would let her drive my car if she knew how to drive stick. I would not let her learn to drive stick on my car.
Same here.
Let me rephrase the question... How would you tell her NO... I will not let you learn stick on my car?

Why not? Then again I did have to take my ex's key away after she popped the clutch in 1st while still rolling backwards. As for teaching a girl to drive a stick I taught 2 girls to drive in my 95 GT and I loved that car. It just made them so happy to be able to drive it.

My girl's got a manual 1.8T, so she knows how to drive. I let her drive when I'm drunk.

Actually, she was afraid to even sit in the driver's seat. She understood my relationship with my baby, and was deathly afraid of breaking something.

It's a moot point now.

It makes all girls happy... that is the conflict

I've tried to teach my GF on my car but she doesn't really want to learn so I have given up. I just tell her one day I'm going to have a nicer car that she wants to drive and she won't be able to since she hasn't learned stick.

I have taught both my brothers and sister on my car and they picked it up really quick.

I've tried to get my fiance to learn to drive a manual, but she keeps saying she is not coordianted enough.

I guess I have to keep at it, she's going need to drive my car at some point in the future.

I would, but my g/f and I haven't been together too terribly long and she's still a bit nervous to drive a manual, as she hasn't for awhile.

Guess I'm lucky. My wife is a damn good driver. She was the first one in my family to want a focus too. Her first stick was a cavalier (long time ago when the platform was only 5 years old.) Then she had a Suzuki Samurai 5spd, then a '73 Celica 4spd. There was a brief period when she drove a '91 escort with an auto but we got the car real cheap. (I had a brief period in that onr myself.) Both her foci have been ZTS 5spds and she never minded my old f150 5 spd.

Only clutch she balks at is my dads Dodge Cummins. My wife has a bar in her hip from her time in the USMC and the clutch in that dodge bring new meaning the word heavy.

i never let any of my prev girlfriends drive my Focus, but i did let them drive my previous 1999 Dakota.

or let me rephrase I let no one drive my car (other then having some peps take it around the block to see how it runs.) The only person that i allow To Drive my car with out me in it is Randy from FocusSport
