no it doesnt. It still uses the the stock cat converter so the noise level is the same. Mine is gonna be so loud once i get my race header on cause its already loud and its just gonna get worse.

does the race header keep the stock cat? i dunno, stupid question but wont' hurt to ask!

also, which actually gives out the most noise and which one gives the better "boost"?

Actually I noticed that mine was a little throatier (sp?) after the install.

the race header eliminates the cat...you can put a high flow cat on the flex pipe if you wish....the race header give alot more "boost" than the street head
