3' on the deck, my back porch, which is two steps up, is a step down - probably 3-4' out there. Seriously not looking forward to moving this **** around.
Didn't lose power - safe and warm and about to be bored / slightly fatigued.

Check in when you wake up.

My car disappeared into a snow bump overnight! But seriously i was out snow blowing some of it last night before i went to bed to hopefully get a bit ahead. Im not sure it got me anywhere with all the wind blowing it around over night.

streets unplowed, 5 foot snow drifts all over my yard and driveway. Had a fun time at 4am when the drift in back of my house blocked the intake and exhaust for the furnace

Not in much of a rush to finish the driveway when theres just as much on the road. And of course the snowblower wont start lol

Odd, my little town was pretty good on snow removal - granted my road is now one lane, or might as well be. Went out last night briefly and was glad for snow tires; but we appear to be almost functioning. Biggest issue is going to be visibility over snow banks.

Few friends of mine have no power still - i assume everyone here is okay?

I have no power. We lost it friday night. Fortunately my parents live close and were staying at there house. We are just hoping that it stays warm enough in our place so that no pipes burst.

You can drainback the water if you have a drain and cutoff valve - might be worth looking into - although today is supposed to get to the low 30's, which is nice.

Times like these i think having an off the grid heating source is something people should look into.

We were worried about the pipes freezing a few years ago so we got a generator.'nothing to big just one that can run the heat.

I'm happy to to see it looks like everyone is doing ok

InCord is in the process of going completely off the grid, which has had me thinking about what I'd want to do with my first home... Just doing it for heat could keep the cost down pretty significantly.
