Thanks for mentioning my name, sir, however, since viewing pics posted by [FJ] user blackbird (here) and Mark Lapp (here), I feel I fail in comparison. I also tied up Todd's card reader for far too long while attemtping to cull and download, then upload all my pics. I was leading my own Fail Parade yesterday, and am glad it's over. Plus, it was damn hot.

All in all, though, I am glad to have been a part of [FJ]focaljet coverage. If there's a "next time" I should be a bit more efficient in the upload process and especially once I learn what a .zip file is and how to send one.

I was honored to meet Mr. De La Garza of Ford and also the young woman who produced the Street Tuner Challenge televsion coverage of FocusSport's pwnage, Megan Waters. The food was great! and I was able to see many of my [FJ]focaljet friends of the last four years. It's always fun to hang out on these few Saturdays per year at FocusSport; the entire staff are all great people.

I must admit, I am not only getting used to this latest Focus model's styling, I'm actually liking it due in no small part to FocusSport's influence and the open ears of Ford Motor Company.

Justin, do you happen to know how much extra the leather interior and/or moonroof options were on your '08?

My impressions: aggressive. Its aggressive.

The dark chrome, on the Sangria Red is hot. Its just mothereffing hot. I made up my mind, and I want one.

I see many '08 owners buying the new grilles, new lights, and new wheels. Throw all those on a Sedan an my wife would have taken one right then and there.

I'm really impressed with the message that Sam De La Garza brought. "We hear you, we're listening, and we're working to make you happy."

I also liked the future message. "Look to Europe.... but please be willing to pay for it."

AKA, we're doing the Euro thing cuz you want it, but you'd better be willing to pay the $22-25k for it.

^^ Hey, that's the plan if I get an 08 or 09...slap the parts from the 09 coupe onto a sedan.

It is great to see such enthusiasm. Let's take this as an overall good sign of things to come.

I plan to get an '08 sedan with all the fun stuff. And once FS comes up with a turbo kit... its going on in short order! Now I need to get to work on the suspension.

Brian,
Here are my options:

Leather: $695
Audiophile: $645
ABS w/ traction control: $385
Ambient Lighting: $295
Moon Roof: $625
Heated Seats: $115
Electrochromic Mirror: $455
Perimeter Alarm System: $125

I'll definately be getting the headlights and grille from the 09 for my 08.

So Justin, would you advise getting all of those options on the car or no? Actually, if you wanna just PM me your thoughts thus far with your '08, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm doing some thinking over here

Due to different taxes and reglatory fees, you can't really convert the price from pounds. Perhaps a more accurate assessment is to compare two like cars, and then apply that cost difference.

A Mazda 3 with a 2.0l engine in England costs ÂŁ17,105, and a US 2.0l Mazda 3 costs $16,595.

A 2.0l Duratec C1 ZX3 costs ÂŁ15,960. Therefore, it would be approx. $16,450.

An ST-1 costs ÂŁ18,250. Therefore, it would be approx. $18,810.

An ST-3 costs ÂŁ20,250. Therefore, it would be approx. $20,875.

But I digest (quoting Peter from Family Guy. ;) ). Looks good at the reveal.
