Has anyone installed front plates in a non-traditional manner before? I'm tired of getting repeated warnings (and the occasional ticket) for not having a front plate properly displayed... but at the same time I refuse to drill through the RS front bumper.
I have looked into my options, and settled on one of two ideas.
1) Attach a permanent mount to the front rebar, and extend tabs out to mount a front plate without cutting into the bumper (as seen on some VWs):

Bolts and washers
Painted hardware
Final product
Overhead
2) Motorized hide-a-way plates
