Last I heard from Tim (unfocused)

Tom couldn't get out of the 13's
His wife with the SVT was stuck in the 15's (9psi)
miamizx3 went 15.0 (nitrous,quiafe, slicks etc..)

and from someone else i know, steeda went 14.1 with their jrsc nitrous car

I as going to run but between how much it costs to run ($35 plus FFW membership $35) and the rain down here this weekend I didn't end up going

Tha track sucked all weekend long

15 to 20 MPH head winds, HIGH humidity, rain on and off

My best was a 13.21 at 111MPH with 20psi it wouldnt hook up there at all so i stopped pushing it

The SVT with it only SPINNING on one tire and doing that about half track only went 15.0 at 98 MPH ,We will install the Quaif and clutch for Atlanta

The C.F.M car with the Vortec on it was the car that went 14.1 and i dont think he had nitrous great running and looking set up at any other track he has a 13 sec car easy

All weekend long it eather was SUPER HUMID or raining

Fun Ford has STOPPED paying for 1/4 finals,#1 Qualifier,no longer have the Focus true street, cut the win from 1500.00 to 1000.00 and only pays 1st and 2nd ,Huuummmmmm

Had a good time hanging with the other Foci guys and there great looking cars

damn...seems like conditions just weren't working for the best...

it's all good though...this is only the beginning of the year.

Tom, were you running 20 psi PLUS spray? I'm assuming not but would just like to confirm...

And the SVT...crazy. Definitely needs the quiafe in there. I'm a bit surprised at the trap though...even with the spinning I would expect a trap of AT LEAST 100 at 9 psi.

Would anybody by any chance know what the CFM Vortech trapped at with teh 14.1 e.t.?

Regardless, I'm real excited. This is only the beginning so there'll be much more opportunity coming soon to see and hear of all the fast Foci.

Tom is right about the weather... super-humid and hot. I'm sure he'll have his cars sorted out by Atlanta. Our ZX3 ran an 'ON THE BRAKES HARD' 15.08 @ 80 MPH...and we still broke out by 12 hundredths. That was a 14.85 run fo' sho'...our first foray into the 14s. Yeah, I know technically it was a 15.0 run - cut me some slack will ya. We were running 93 MPH all weekend so you know we stood on the brakes to get down to 80 at the top end. Definitely a 14 second run!!

See you all in Atlanta in April.

Just wanted to get the record straight, this is Scott, I was driving Steeda's Red Focus with the JRSC and NX kit. I did qualify with a 14.15, just .01 ahead of Hectors (CFM) trick set-up. The track conditions were bad altough can't complain about the 60 ft's I was abile to run. On 205/50/16 Nitto drags I was able to lay down a 1.989 60/ft in the first round eliminations before the clutch gave out shifting into 4th. Car will not move a foot now in any gear.

As far as how the car is set up, here it goes....
JRSC set at 5psi
35hp NX kit
shorty header and muffler
Thats it, stock Thottle body, mass air, catalitic converter, cams and cam gears.

So I don't think 14.1 @ 96mph is that bad, with those conitions. Only the second time out too.

Yea conditions sound like it was holding everyone back. I don't doubt we'll be seeing improved times from anybody and everybody running.

Long Stroke, I'm impressed with your car. No flaming intended but I'm usually not impessed with a jrsc equipped Focus. A 35 shot isn't much...and then you have all the other stock components you listed still on there, meaning there's alot of potential.

1TurboSVT, I can't wait to hear of your next event. I definitely don't doubt great increases. at 9 psi, you're putting down enough power to get you in the mid 13's no problem.

Lourenco runs a 15.16 at almost 91. No turbo or nos. Geez I think I'll spend 6550 US for a turbo........

Wait JRSC 5psi with only 35 shot of nos runs a 14.15......Hmmmm

JRSC must really be crappy......

I'm just saying that I'm tired of taking crap for getting a JRSC. Glad to see one outperformed the self proclaimed king of all SVT Turbos.......For almost 2.5 times the price...

Bluetoy are you ans a$$ all the time or just when it comes to your focus

The SVT i drove my self not that i know what im doing the car spun 1st,2nd,3rd i was on and off the gas trying to get it to hook up i was in 4 th be 50MPH and lugged it out from there

There is NO quaife, clutch, tires all are stock SVT parts bring your JRSC to Atlanta and I will spot you 4 car lengths

Give the man time to get it to hook up and some tractions problems worked out and bring it on

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Thanks! It was great meeting everyone there! I hope the Focus class continues to grow and hopefully someday we will have a "heads up" class for those of us who could care less about bracket racing... I will try to make some of the nearby events later on this year and hope to see some of you there as well! Good luck to all racing through the season!
