i ran it this past week....traction was a real big issue....on street tires at 12 psi it went 14.7 at 96......with a 2.5 60'. i uped the boost to 14 ish and it killed my 60' even worse but my trap went to 98...i can run 16-17psi pretty safely on pump gas (no detonation). but im just not getting traction...i was spinning through 3rd on every run. its def a 13 second car with traction....or slicks

 

Just brought my new ride home last night. 81 mustang. it's going to be a while before it's up and going though. It's a solid car, needs a little tlc on the body, but it's begging for the motor i'm almost finished building.

280 flywheel hp 302 with built bottom end topped off with a 2 stage nitrous system. 150 [censored] in first gear and 200 in 2nd and third. should put about 420hp to the pavement and will weigh in around 2,800 lbs when in race form. Should be an easy low 12 sec car.

 

I would be down for sure. Ive been wanting to see what my car can do at the track for a while

count me in!!

 

Sounds perfect....I've never run my car at the track before and i've been itching to do it at least once (or twice...) It'd be especially nice to meet up with some people around my HP.

okay once i know the scheduale for great lakes dragaway for the upcoming week we'll pick a day..... i can do tuesday or thursday

i think they should have open racing on tuesaday nite

 

I work until 5, and with traffic and whatever I wouldn't be able to make it there until after 7pm....but I'm sure that wouldnt be a problem. Any day is good for me.

 

looks like fun racing is on at great lakes tuesday, wednesday, friday nights (6pm-10) and saturday(10am-4) this week (on their website)

ill go...not sure if it will be the omni or the spec but ill go.....ive got a speed distance sensor prob with the omni...if i can find a replacement it should be good to go..and ive still got a little more tuning to do (i detuned it to pass emissions)
