Hey I found this on
http://forddesktops.com/show.asp?f=otherfords&i=xpress001.jpg&p=10 lots of cool pics from Focus to Cortina's. I thought maybe our Euro or Asian or Aussie contacts may be able to shed some model info and details or where I could call to get a brochure on the vehicle I got off the site. Make a great tow vehicle or all purpose van when Focus needs more room. It probably comes in a TDI too.

Here is URL for pic since I can not find the little mountain mentioned in a reply.

Where is the function to add pics did I miss it in this section?

Thanks as always

The land rover Freelander is an Escape and Tribute.

Looks like the Euro Maverick's new front end or the Aussie Escape.

I do not think that is a chop since I have several UK FORD magazines you know those Barnes and Noble 12 dollar ones at home and a few have some custom Vans in them even bigger and more radical than this one. Some of the vans are even Cossie modified and one is the size of a Dodge Sprinter.

Headlights look like Fusion or Freestar type. It just may be a small delivery panel version van.

secondechomatt : What I am missing here on how to load a pic in this section

Hope some of our Euro or Aussie friends can shed some light.

The first one looks like a concept of Fiesta based "dolly" - quite popular in EU..
I do not think ford ever built it..

The second was the asian concepft version of the upcoming new Escape/Tribute... There is another thread on this somewhere.. the front will look different.

It's left-hand-drive (O RLY?), like our cars so it's prolly from South America or elsewhere in Europe other than teh U.K. (and Australia, where any cars registered for road use must be RHD) and the driveline is Focus RS (from the above pics with that turbo'd 'Duratec' Zetec with teh blue silicone hoses...) ...and breathe...

I'd so tap that sexy thang :thumbup: ...or just transplant that engine into the Volvo P1800 I found :evilgrin:

That Vehicle is a 'special' called 'T2000 X-Press ' based on a Ford Transit Connect (short wheel base version) which is a van on sale in Europe. T2000 presumably a reference to 2.0 turbo engine.

Some Ford engineers had a crashed RS and has the idea of making a van just for the hell of it, so out came the 1.8L 'Duratorq' diesel engine and in went the 2.0 RS lump.

The standard van is somewhat less impressive to look at than the race one:
The lights look a lot like the 'Ford Fiesta Fusion' headlights.

Ford may have it's problems, but a shortage of awesome engineers is not one of them.

"Okay guys, we've got this 5.0 crate engine and the legal right to import a Focus RS shell. What do we do...?"
"Okay guys, we've got this Focus RS drivetrain and a funny-looking van. What do we do...?"
"Okay guys, we've got a Cosworth F1 engine and a Ford Transit. What do we do...?"

Etc. :D

 Man you are funny....

I think the fact that ford still has some profits actually still lets them do stuff like this...

I hope they will do it with something useful for a change.. though..something for NA Market

Thanks Ph03ziX for the additional pics and info and sites to see on this van. The plain version makes a great base and still easy to mod up. Paint the side mirrors add "RS" wheels and it comes with fog light option see red van pic and with a Diesel Engine to start with OH BABY!!!!!

Keep the diesel mod it up woo woo whishhhhhhhhhhhhh

Wow gas mileage and coolness. This would make an awesome small delivery or small business truck here.

You add a side window to it and 2 extra buckets or bench and you have even more uses.

American market so neglected........................

No wonder Ford is in so much trouble here in states too bad they did a Rip Van Winkel for past 30 years here.
