This guy calls to order an HID kit for his Accord. We get to talking about what he wants to do and cars that he has built in the past when he drops the freekin bomb.....

I didnt know what to say. The guy did not know me or what I do in my spare time..he is fairly new to our local scene. He didnt even ponder for a second that the dude sitting behind the Honda parts counter would have ever touched a focus...let alone have worked on bagillions of them.

That was the first time...in a long time...that someone had completely blindsided me and I had no comeback.

I felt like Mike Myers standing next to Kanye West after Kanye blindsided America.

i don't like the owners. it's a different kind of snob but snob never the less. it's like people that own old muscle cars. like thier [censored] don't stink. or break down...alot

i actually like alot of well done hondas but it's the people that drive them that are terrible. and the worst are the ones that think thier [censored] is the best yet you see rust, barely a body kit, 3 cheap american racing wheels and a spare, had cut springs done with a toe nail clipper and lawn chair inspiered racing inspired seats. it's crap but that's what i really don't like.

but hey, what can you do eh? just let it go and let it slide. OR kill them all. but that's alot of effort without getting caught

They HANDLE REALLY WELL.

Now I'm not a street racer, so I'm not thinking my 2.3 Duratec Wonderland of Torque is anything special in the VTEC HP dept, but I actually love my car, am proud to own one and I just cruise.

I hate to piss on your parade... but he has a point. What most of you fail to realize is the Ford Focus was created to be an economical alternative. The car was not designed to be an import tuners dream.
There are alot of people here on Focaljet who gave Ford a chance to impress them. HELL, I even went so far as to get talked into the SVT... but after spending alot of money and having the car spend 42 days in service in the first year, I realized I was wasting my time.
Regardless of what we all drive, or what we would like to drive... cant we all just get along?

then when he called back just say sorry you had to speed around in a focus to pick up some parts. why was he mentioning a focus anyways it's not even in the same class maybe if he had an ek da or whatevery the damn jdm terms are for a civic hatch then he could mention the focus. maybe if he was talking about a contour v6 or something that would be different

I like all cars...import and domestic. My only real problem is with the people that drive imports and think they are 'tha [censored]'. I mean, com'on...your car may be fast, but there'll always be someone else with something faster.

yea since the civic was made to be tuned and made fast. the focus is the same concept as the civic with a different manufacturer. the manufacturer put out an entry level economy car and people embraced it as did the aftermarket. Dont make statements calling one thing what it is and saying it is junk and not mention that the other car you are comparing it to is the SAME thing.

I had a woman call into my work and then asked who was working. I told her who all was working. Then she said well they can call me back, I don't want jason. then goes on to tell me what a jerk jason is and how dumb he is and all that. So I just reply that I won't call her back. Why don't you just get a couple of high-performance Focii at the shop when that kid rolls around to pick up his HID kit. I'm all for making fun of ignorace, but let the kid drive one of those cars and see if he changes his mind.
