Hi guys i read about 100 topics in this section cause i wanted to learn what turbos are available. Conclusion, i'm even more confused. I read turbo tom, AC3, A/f, what the hell are these things. SO basicly i was wondering cause i saw that ford was selling a jackson supercharge for the zx3 but its more then i could afford. What other alternatives are their? i currently have about 140hp and woudl be more then happy with 180-200.

If U cant aford Jacksons Charger then forget about a Turbo because Jacksons is the cheapest hands down. For your budget your better going with a Edelbrock 75 horsepower shot dry kit. Not to insult u but if u dont have much mechanical background then Nitrous can be difficult to run without problems. To keep it without a power adder and wanting 200 hp without a decent budget well its not possible bro sorry but if YOU WANT TO PLAY U HAVE TO PAY.Wedge.

The probleme is the exchange rate for us ppl in Canada

the jackson kit comes out to 5000$ Canadian. i didn't know it was the cheapest though. Thanks for the info.

Wedge is right about the cost thing, if you are going turbo (new) count on about $4,000 and up.

But about your questions:

AC3 - Aerocharger stage 3 which is a turbo system made by Aerodyne in Dallas. Stage 1 is the turbo and piping, Stage 2 is the same as 1 but upgradable to stage 3 later, and Stage 3 adds an intercooler with appropriate piping and the potential to run higher boost.

Turbo Tom - Runs a head shop (that didn't sound right!) and has a dyno. He also has put together a turbo kit for sale which is capable of very impressive power levels. Tom's uses Mike "The Chip Guy" Wilson for chip tuning for custom Naturally Aspirated (NA) and Forced Induction (FI) setups. Mike is the source of the Autologic chips used with the Mass Air Flow (MAF), Injector, and Chip (MIC) engine management solution used by some of us with turbos or superchargers.

A/F - Probably was refering to Air/Fuel ratio.
