Exhaust - Cam Gears(Dyno Tuned)

And learn how to drive properly - And you should be able to take them pretty easily

PS - Unless of course the Si owner knows how to drive pretty well himself

Well guys, considering he only has a UDP and Intake, I would venture a guess that he doesnt have a whole lot of cash to spend

Thats whyI suggetested 2 things that were resonable priced and would provide better gains with added mods

Cam Gears Dyno Tuned - Can make upwards 12whp(depending on the car)
Exhaust - Just helps flow out the additional air, and with Cam Gears will provide a very nice gain

All I have is a Diablo Chip,UDP,Iceman,Bosal Exhaust and a ported TB with an Auto and I can pretty much beat a stock Si off the line and most of the way through the RPM range....

but only because I basically gutted the rear of the car...saving alot of weight and in turn making my car quicker..

Wanna go fast? Not short in cash? Can I have some cash then?

Anyways, here's what I would do if I want to make my Focus go fast...I would go for a...

Psssssssshhhhhhhhh!!!!

I don't know about you guys, but the SIs I see here in Orlando almost always have stuff done to them & I don't mean just intake & exhaust. Most of the guys with the nice ones are decent drivers too. Before you think you are an SI hunter, you should come here & see if it is as easy as you say.

Disclaimer: I am not a Honda fan. I have respect for the nice ones & the # of options you have with them, but I still wouldn't drive a Honda.

What (if anything) will changing out your cam do to the warranty? If you change the cam do you have to change the pistons too?

I have only help take apart one engine so far so please excuse me if I sound like a noob.

I wanna eat some SI's for lunch.

No aftermarket part will void your warrenty unless the service shop can prove that it was the aftermarket part that was at fault. You do not have to change the pistons to change the cams. You can just get the cams, for example crower stage 2, drop in and go. Good horsepower for the price.

whats the differnce between stages in cam gears and would they void any warrenty??

Just to clear up a little confusion for you, since nobody else has bothered...
CAMS come in stages. Usually the higher #'s indicate a greater change from stock in their design.(To put it in layman's terms...) They usually eat much more gas that way, but they produce more horsepower.
CAM GEARS do not come in "Stages". We already have cam-gears, they just aren't adjustable. Adjustable cam-gears allow you to do more tuning, to optimize the performance of WHICHEVER cams you have, INCLUDING the Stock ones.
I hope this helps, in simple terms.

I only have and AEM cold air intake, H&R 1.5" lowering springs, and B&M short throw on my '02 ZX3 and I only lose by half a car length in the quarter to my friends SI.

His SI is a '00 or '01 with AEM cold air intake, 5zigen catback, short throw shifter, Yoko's, and lowered 2".

I've whooped up on another '02 ZX3 with full flowmaster exhaust, short throw, ram air intake, and the 2" Eibach lowering springs.

Or maybe it's not my car, and I just know how to drive?

Hope that gets your hopes up.

Dude, you're already in the 15's you just need to shave like .5 off your 1320 and you're ready to romp with 'em. I think the Si's run 15.5ish maybe a hair faster, and you know as well as I do that no one makes REAL performance mods to their Si's out here... maybe a cat-back for more horsepower, but they lose even more torque with that. I have a story about some Si's in Olathe but I can't share 'em with you here.

You know what Justin's plans are, right? Something like that would definitely put you in VTEC Hunter territory.
