So I'm curious do they not add ethanol???

It should say it on the Pump...I've noticed an increase in MPG the past couple weeks myself on my Mustang...was only getting like 20-21 and now getting 23-24 MPG...the refiners have switched over to a summer formulation, which accounts partly to the increase in fuel prices...with all the other crap...

 

They ALL add ethanol. Every station has it. It is required by law. Thank your state's farmers lobby.

This is different state-to-state. Oklahoma does not require ethanol, and I only drop my coin at the ones that don't sell it. I notice about a 3mpg decrease from E10 in the Focus. That **** doesn't come get anywhere near the midyear.

The mileage decrease is actually how I found out the gas stations at Tinker AFB sell E10 now.

 

Summer blends tend to have fewer additives. Chances are that Gulf has already switched to summer blend whereas some other refiners, namely the ones you have been buying gas from, have not.

 

I was about to ask what is Summer Blend Gasoline... But then I figured I'd use the internet the way Al Gore intended...
