I'd consider it if I had the means. I've contemplated it for the Spec Focus series, although I'm not even sure if they spec'd in the SPI engine.

Its down 60 HP on the SVTs, but would be a ton of fun to thrash around a bit.

congradulations you sir recieve the biased opinion of the year award.

an auto-x spi is very fun, trust me. although winning in it is very unlikely. i had to go stright to STS with mine but i had a blast.

11:1 you are gonna have to run a high octane for that one. if you put some good pistons in that with 11:1 man youd put out damn near duratec 2.3 power.

I have 11:1 in mine.

Uses 93 with no problem.

probablly. You could always drop a little timing at max VE if it pinged.

I should mention that I also have 1mm oversized valves, I & E. So EGTs on a stock valve set up might be higher and thus induce some detonation
