56k what?
First off, some shots to give an idea of how big this event was:
And the guys that were nice enough to give us space for it!
Who, incidentally, have a totally kickass showroom.
Now, the cool Foci!
I noticed this little detail on one of the Powerworks SVTs the first day:
But it took me another day to realize that it matched the
rest of the car.
Speaking of Powerworks...
Our dear friend airforcefocus's Redline Track Events car:
With its awesome marbled paint!
Fastraxturbo's car dominated the car show on Sunday:
But it's not all show! Notice the awesome turbo manifold, and the coil-on-plug ignition (scrounged from a Scion xB)
The Capaldi SPEED World Challenge Focus' engine bay (none of the shots of the car itself turned out right
)
I don't know whose car this is, but my compliments to them:
Again, I forget which Durateccer had this terrific Cosworth Stage 2 ST.
Mmm... Sonic Blue.
A random shot of someone's painted Mach HIDs. The car had a beautiful carbon fiber hood and R/S Collection front, with a Euro plate reading "MACHFIVE"
This hatch won the car show's ZX3/5 class, I believe.
Wait, wait... Foci don't have driveshafts, do they?
Huh. I guess that one does.
In this picture, it's driving off with no license plates, no reverse lights, and no catalytic converters, on a chassis that never passed US safety testing, to have some fun on public streets. I think Ford Racing are my kind of people.
We found this in the hotel parking lot on Sunday morning.
This SRT-4 won the autocross' "Other" class.
Hey, that's no Focus!
But with an engine bay like this,
I certainly won't be the one to kick him out.
Hey, that can't be stock...
I've got a lot of other pictures of some of these cars. If there's anything you want to see more of, just let me know.
