luckily Mercedes Benz tuning department MKB stocks bottles with the magic supercharger liquid. Having downloaded the sheet from motocraft site it is the same substance and % mass. So I used the only 4 oz bottle I got :) I will post the part number for anyone who forgets to have it ordered. We fired it up today, sounds wonderful but seems to run too rich. We ll have to sort some last details tomorrow and thats it,starting to make some kms ...

I also need a shorter by 1/4 inch accessories belt. I was using a 86.5/220,3cm inches and after the SC pulley change /crank pulley chng I need a 219,5 one.

is that dirt on your car
I was thinking the same thing.

Hasn't there been any downtime? Waiting on parts and whatnot? That baby should be spitshine clean  now you just have to test drive it. Can't waste a moment cleaning her for quite some time

Well I tuned myself the >25% load just to get it steady up to 5,000rpm. Works really fine but did want an adjustment at idle from the BBK idle screw.
We left it for over half an hour to work so as oil/coolant makes its way everywhere. The 180degs thermostat works really fine and fans turn frequently now. The only problem was an P0113 Intake Air Temp High Input which I cleared myself ( thank God I have my Mobydic in the car always!). I will figure this out on Monday... A have a spare 2l MAF anyways if the old one is a problem (currently using the 1.8 one). Where the filter goes with the fans on,it sucks a huge amount of hot air inside...This is going to be changed drastically. Or maybe the IAT sensor has failed...???
Monday it is then, have to get the left axleshaft to machinery ,cos the security bolt of the knuckle was screwed up when I tried to remove it.

Why did you place the air filter like that? Is there no room above the battery? That's why you got the air intake temp high error.... Your filter is sitting right next to your exhaust header!

Try and relocate the air filter to somewhere north of the battery... or even down to the wheel well.
Here's a picture of Terrible1's focus... note location of the air filter

thnx mate. I used to run a custom sort of CAI with this filter.I will change that this time and run an induction duct. I thought it would be the IAT error cos of the heat ...
PS. I dont like the std fitler location either...It doesnt get to much cold air there

I will use a duct...:). I got the car and at the first kms feels really good. My problem is mainly now tuning. I dont want to get on the dyno before 1500km and the car is not driveable into town. Well in fact I ll have modify fueling up to 50% load 3000rpm.I must get on the road for this one.

Tried to solve the issue with P0113. Took off the IAT sensor part no Ford # F6SZ-12A697-A, had signs of oil on it maybe from the prior piston damage before rebuilt.

As for mounting the sensor, the letters stamped on the bolt should be seen from above???

Actually the OE airbox location is one of the cooler spots underhood. Where you currently place your filter you are picking up a lot of exhaust/rad fan heat and fan wash (which complicates your MAF tuning).

It was temporarilly mounted there...I am trying a new solution that could work for sure :) I ll post it in a few days...Right now waiting for the new IAT valve(s:)) as its one of that parts that dont exist here :(

Well it seems that the P0113 error wasnt from from the hot air sucked by the airfilter. The IAT-ACT sensor bolting onto the supercharger manifold is way damaged. Connected a voltmeter at the two wires on the harness of the connector and showed 4.58V. Thats is approx 0 degs F where the ambient temp was around 80degs F. So this cannot be normally happening at normal engine operating temperature. There is a little table with values to use with this test.

PS. 05/04/2007

FINALLY I GOT THE TWO IAT VALVES TODAY.THNX TO STEVE FOR SHIPPING THEM. INSTALLED ONE OF THEM 5 MIN JOB.LETTERS FACE UP REMEMBER! ERASED THE CODE AND PERFECT.PROBLEM SOLVED!

Well, firing the engine up noticed that the wideband showed 15:1 up to 15.6:1 ...Hmmm I thought this is strange. I have tuned it at idle approx. 13.9:1>14.2:1... Reving it a little at NO LOAD all the way up to 3.000 instead of 13.2:1-13.5:1 it is +1 , +1,5 leaner ...Amazing how this valve effects on AFR :p
