Location Of the Idle Air Control Valve...or IAC

2002 Ford Focus ZTS DOHC

I have searched the forum and have found many topic on the IAC valve, and everyone says that it is located on the air manifold, under the throttle body.

I have searched the throttle body, and the air manifold and cannot seem to find it.

I have read a couple threads saying that you could reach it from up top, and some saying you have to get to it under the vehicle.

Does anyone have a good picture of the IAC valve attached to the engine so I know where to find it.

Also should I find it below or on top?

If you look at the mani pictured at the bottom of that pic you can see the iac just below the throttle body it's basically in between the manifold and block. i have removed mine to clean it and have always done it from underneath. It's a pia but doable from up top and not much easier from below. Hope this helps.
