How are you enjoying yours?

Kit was somewhere north of 700 with free shipping from Amazon on black friday… kit is street able but can be used for whatever I desire… Just hoping the kit isn't too stiff making it uncomfortable for daily driving…
I actually find these a little too soft for auto-x. The rear is horribly soft! That's why I was asking sizes as I want to order stiffer springs. For just daily driving these will be great though.

Finally got the height played with a bit… and got the car out on the road….

YES! YES! YES!

This is the exact setup I've been looking for. It's not too rough, it's not too harsh… it's just right. I didn't run it too rough, being it was just 22 degrees outside, but It gave me a good sense of what it will be like up and down the highways, and on the roads around town that take me to/from work. No rubbing issues and no shakes or rattles, as I have everything tightened up now…

I'll probably mess with height a bit more, drop the front a bit more and raise the rear… I have all winter to get it just right, and get it all measured out.

Took the car out and around the block this evening… as it was cold enough were the roads didn't make a mess of it. I have the front suspension evened out… but need to adjust the rear just slightly… It's not quite even yet. It's simple enough…

Suspension in the two times I've driven it appears to be amazing. Not too harsh, like other coil overs I've been in. I think it's going to be a perfect blend for what I want it for.

The date is now set, and hopefully by this time next month, the car will be finished. The first weekend of May it's scheduled to have the PowerWorks supercharger and Quaife ATB Helical LSD installed.

* a HUGE thanks to Danny over at Sparktec Motorsports. It's the absolute BEST price I've yet to see on the Quaife LSD.

Really looking forward to how this car is with more power, and just where exactly it will Dyno at. The suspension has been amazing thus far, but needs an alignment. I'm also still looking for another set of wheels that will fit, so I can provide them with some Michelin PSS.

Looking good, cant wait to hear how you like the Powerworks. Wish I could afford to do something like that with mine.

Probably the best place to tune/dyno it is DB Performance in Rogers, busy shop and not cheap but they do good work.

Thanks! I seriously cannot wait! This car is just SO much fun now that it's running right with a new single mass flywheel, clutch and coilover suspension. I wanted to be very certain the car is healthy and well maintained before I try something like boosting it… I was SO fortunate to find a near brand new PWSC locally (thanks again Steve!).

The tune is hopefully going to be done by Casey at Apple Valley Ford. He actually tuned this EXACT supercharger when it was on the previous owner's car, he has a lot of history with these cars… I contacted him last year and visited the facility. Apple Valley isn't too far from where we are doing the build (LakeVille) so we're going to download the stock tune from a Diablo Predator and then have the car re-tuned on the Dyno that Apple Valley has.

You might want to rethink that unless you're towing it to AV, unless I'm mistaken it's barely going to run on a stock tune with that blower and the aftermarket injectors.

The tuner we have on the Diablo has a supercharger tune on it… It's the tune that ran on Pat's car. Casey said to download the tune, which we will, and if the car doesn't run right or there are any issues with the tune, plan B is to have the car AAA'd to the dyno at AV where it can be done properly.

There you go.

And I KNOW you're going to like this update Steve… you've kept on me, and I have now provided!

This should really help get and keep that power to the ground and help in those twisties. I know It's going to be a bit of a pain for Chris (COSVT) to install, but in order to make this car truly special and built properly, this was indeed a "must".

Nice, I'd like to see how yours drives with the Quaife in it. My sons turbo car has a Quaife and it seems to me that it has more torque steer than it should.

It's distributing power evenly to the front wheels, it'll pull on the wheel even if the car is bone stock.

Every diff. i've used does this. Part of the fun.

The MK1 Focus RS (Euro spec only of course) was always said to have a huge amount of Torque steer in it, and it had a Quiafe diff in it… I remember fondly the Top Gear presentation of the car when they discussed this. However, I do agree, it's part of the fun and makes sense with all that power to the front wheels to have one installed.

MC you beat me to the Clarkson reference with the Mk1 RS, seems to be the nature of the beast and I would love to experience it myself someday!

I'm glad someone else remembers the UK Top Gear reference… It was something I remember fondly. I'm really hoping with the LSD, new suspension and PWSC, this car lives up to just a little bit of the hype that an automotive "legend" like the MK1 Focus RS is.

What's the latest? I heard from Rick that things got installed? Still waiting on the tune?
