I walked out this morning to start the car and let it warm up, only to find it up on blocks and missing my wheels. I called the Sheriff he came by to fill out the report and noticed all my brakes were gone too. So I popped the hood and my Coil pack, wires, plugs, valvecover, thermostat housing, hoses, coolant res., A|C compressor, alternator, SRI, and headlight bulbs were gone. I am glad I didn't catch them in the act otherwise I may be under investigation for you know what. The strange thing is I live on a 260 Acre farm and the house is 1\4 mile off the road, so whoever did this knew what they were there for and took a huge chance. The Sheriff openly told me not to expect anything to be found as they would not be doing much of an investigation... I told him thanks and to please get off the property as he was worthless to me after that being said. And the real kiker...Liabilty only.Fa Kin Su Pa

man that sucks sorry to hear, it dosent get worse then that , and all i got was vandals, i cant imagine stuff dissapearing, one word Camera.... better late then never thats what i learned. I also learned the same thing from the cops, you have to solve your own crimes, cops just try to bust you speeding.

oh yea i forgot to say i wonder if they wouldnt mind us picking the punishment since we have to solve our own crimes...

Not to sound rude, but you only have Liability on you '02?

I have Liability on my beater Neon and have been thinking about bumping it to standard coverage.

That really does suck though man, for as fast as they can get that stuff on the market I wouldn't really expect anyone to find anything. Normally it wouldn't make a difference as insurance would take care of it.

Watch ebay for your parts. If any of them were custom and you could recognize them, look to see if the seller is from around where you live, say within 100 miles. I've known people who caught their own thieves this way, and you can get Ebay to stop the auction, saving your parts. It may not work, but it's worth a try.

ya dude that stuff sucks!! i had a freind just got his in dash dvd player stolen, his 2 kicker subs ( expensive ones) 2 kicker 1000 wat amps, bridge, and his 4 jl 6*9`s these people knew what they were coming for what type of alarm he had what tools they needed to get this **** out!!

so dont think for one second that you arnt being scoped out at car shows!

Damn, what'd the have? All ****in night to grab it all? Did they at least not break anything in the process? Sounds thoroughly planned. Good luck man.

And about the coverage, I only had liability on my 01 ZX3. It was easier to total the car than to pay the $400/month for full coverage. The car was only worth like 5-6k and when my full coverage insurance was MORE than that per year, its just not worth it.

WOW.

Yes most definately an inside job, I'm afraid... or you were cased hardcore.

My wife had her 2000 Civic SI stolen from her locked, closed, gated and hidden from view garage one night in '01 (acutally the 1 year anniversary of owning that car to the day). Either someone spotted the car and followed her one day to know where she parked, or someone in the building tipped the theif.

It sucked bigtime.

ebay, craigslist. local forums, OTHER focus boards, and driving around bad neighborhoods will work. it's not gonna be too hard to find another focus with those parts.

do you have any pics of the stuff, what exactly it was etc. not too many people mod foci so it can't be too hard to find a set of wheels.

also check contour, escort, and cougar boards too ;)

** if you do find the wheels on ebay tell the guy that you want to look at them/ pick them up and pay cash. don't mention that they're your wheels. then call back the guy who filed the report (even if he's an ass) then go meet them somewhere but unsuspecting to them your only ride there is in the back of a cruiser with a video camera recovering your stolen stuff. not too much they can do to the guy who's selling them but you'll get your stuff back.

Thats really messed up. Cant believe they got away with all that. No dogs?
2 pits, 1 American bulldog, 75 cows, 14 goats, 2 horses, and around 100 canadian gees. wouldn't you know... they claim they didn't see anything. I'm thinking someone has been watching it for a while, like I said I really am glad I didn't catch them in the process I probably would have done something I would have regreted in the long run. But anyway, I'm gonna buy a 91-95 SHO to replace it I just need to find one that hasn't been beat to hell.

Not to be rude, but how did you miss that? Big, quiet farm and someone took @ least an hour to remove those goods...

I'm sorry for your loss, hopefully I'll never have to deal with something like this.

some one had to come in ther with a decent set of tools and a decent amount of knowledge and time to do that :( sorry those ass holes did that to you. they will get whats coming to them in the end

If you have photos, prehaps you could post them. If any wierd imperfections/scratches/paint fades on the parts that were taken are visible you could find these again or at least the scum who took it.

I doubt that someone stole these to resell them. If they are that stupid you will possibly get them. However if you see a done out focus in the next month or two, ask to see under the hood, etc...

just my 2 cents. sorry about your loss.

When I get my MINI I'm deffinitly investing in some good motion camera's! I hear stuff ALL the TIME of people getting their stuff stolen, I am actually kind of scared of getting a MINI, with it being my first car and so expensive....oh man this sucks! :(

Hope you find the thief.

Wow that's horrible, but bro, how long did you leave your car run that morning? They either came in a large group or else worked UBER fast for that much stuff to disappear :thumbdown :(

sorry to hear about that man, and its gotta be particularly galling to have the cops out there tell you theyre not gonna do much about it. cops down here are just as worthless.

in the last year i moved to gainesville, fl, a cesspit of a town. well within the last couple months we've had almost 50 cars broken into within a few square miles of residential area. we have two piles of glass from a couple of breakins in the parking lot outside my apartment. the separate incidences occured within a week of each other and not 10 yards apart. cops dont give a **** about recovering property for you, theres nothing in it for them. they much prefer seizing property for themselves over drug related crimes.

Ummm, the car wasn't running when the stuff was jacked. He said that he went out to start it, and found it stripped.

Anyways, I feel for ya 02LGZX5. And I agree. If I had caught them in the act, bullets would have definately been flying.

did you have an alarm on the car? Plus i would have told the police officer, thank you for your honesty, i believe somebody is speeding now, so please do your job....
