We had an issue with the vents in the car and had to remover the dash panel to fix..now we have no brake lights and the brake-shift interlock has become activate and we cannot seem to fix either. We need the brake lights to work...bulbs are good and replaced the brake light switch, fuses good...still no brake lights and the gear shift is still in the locked mode. Any suggestions? Please help...have not had a car for a week.

What did you exactly do to the dash panel? Is there any chance you budged something loose?

Also, what year and model is your Focus?

Make sure the hazard switch is plugged in. There should be an access hole near the shift handle to bypass the interlock.
