I'm actually surprised of the size. I'm in a suburb of Boston so I should be getting less for a bigger price. Which is why I didn't want to live in the city to begin with.

Seriously though, these are sick ass features and I'm going to sploodge myself all over this new apartment. It's the next stepping stone to a house. Unless, of course, I go bankrupt :=(

 

You've got everything you need. Invest in a washer and dryer. They'll pay for themselves. Get a gas dryer if you're set up for that.

I'm in the same tough spot. I want a place that has off-street parking for two cars and looking anywhere in town is real tough, but I'm sick of living this far away.

 

Heat and Hot water is *not* included.

Anyone ever have oil heat? I need to know how much it normally costs :=/

 

We just got a fill up and it cost around $700 after a winter of heating and hot water. 240 gallon tank at $3.80 a gallon

 

Still saving money really. I've got a pretty good job (for now) and will be getting a better one in less than a year so I should be good with payments. As long as the wife gets a new and better job we'll be all set.

 

We have oil. It's an adjustment for me coming from h/hw included apartment. I went from living year round in at least 70 degrees to never going about 60 in the dead of winter. It's brutal at first but I got used to it pretty quick. We have another tank-up approaching. It costs us around $650 but this one will last us until next winter.

 

I dont want to get into how much we're spending on oil. Let's just say i'm investigating a solar heating system and am considering taking out a 50k+ loan to do it.

 

Never thought I'd be so thankful to have NG heat/hw.

I think we used about 75-100 gallons of oil this winter. Electric hot water.

God bless the wood stove. That was keeping the living room at 75 degrees most of the time upstairs was about 70, and the furthest reaches were about 68.

Evan, start saving up...I would gladly help you install a stove. I dont see you prepping firewood, but a pellet stove would be an awesome supplement for ya.

I got most of the living room cleaned out. I'm really stoked about it.

I wanted to do the TV, couch and the rest of the kitchen this weekend. If the girlfriend will allow it. She's being such a baby about getting everything the hell out of there :=/
