Ford Racing will be introducing a new head package at SEMA. Stock head w/ bigger valves and CNC milled ports. Complete bolt on head w/ valves and springs should be priced in the 8 - 900 range. From what I have heard should be an easy 150 to 175 hp depending on cams.

You read you get excited...nice price.
You realize American Dollars 8-9 hundred there is anywhere from 15000-20000 here

I don't think they were going to make comparisons. I believe Roush milled the head and they knew what they wanted. For the money it would be tough to beat. We are just finishing our head package it won't be that cheap.
The flow numbers on there head were in the low to mid 200's In. and high 100's on the Ex. ours are comparable at less lift.

Yel900rr, will we be able to purchace the new ford racing heads from you when they become available?
Wow that is an awsome price.

Naz
What was the valve lift for your numbers?
There are variables in flow numbers.
Your head flows well your HP proves that but for the money spent these heads are going to be tough to beat. What could you do to them for the money spent to make them better versus other heads available that includes our own head.

Yes we will have the heads available when they are released.

Yeah, there are a few things to consider when comparing heads.

First, your flow numbers, what vacuum was used to measure that?

Second, how many CC's are your ports? Anybody can hog out a head for big flow numbers. But if somebody can get good numbers, with a small port, you'll get more torque too.

Just a few things to consider since people are going to start comparing heads.

they NEED to make a manifold first..

...no matter what you do to this car YOUR POWER WILL ALWAYS PEAK OUT AT 6500rpm and then fall....and you will never hit anything past a specific whp, no matter what is done, TILL that manifold is REPLACED....

its been proven again and again...ofcourse, this is seperate from the FORD head discussion, but i just wish ford would make a manifold(NOT THE FR200) that would work on a NA car and flow more...

With a stock manifold, no matter how much work you put in...youre not gonna go much higher than 160-165whp...

So far the only cars hitting higher are those with either manifold porting done or a new race manifold...and even the ones that are ported can only go so far, they still fall off at about 6600rpm

I wish ford made a super nice intake manifold that would work for the NA guys...that would be a GOLDMINE>...cause thats the LAST thing EVERYONE N/A is missing badly...

Hey RAY

Im sure $800-900 DOESNT include cams or shiming of the buckets correct? Or the installation of cams??

IF not, then it makes sense, if it does, thats ****ING CHEAP

If you put a head on a car with stock cams guys, remember, youre not gonna make jack for power, so please save up a bit more money, and get cams with it....i really dont wanna see people putting a modified head on a car with stock cams...that would be a waste, so its not only gonna be $800-900....but even then, thats pretty damn cheap

DOes that even include springs, retainers, installed with valves and all? So pretty much all you need are cams, cam gears, proper lash and youre set, am i correct???
