New focus commercial (TV)

(if it is a repost, tuff beewbies...)

That has to be the worst car commercials I have seen to date. I don't know what they are trying to do having some dude sound like a rooster while the camera pans down a side of a house down to the new focus sedan. Just dumb. And than the tag line 'Begs to be driven'...I mean come on...what are they getting at? 1) The owner knows it is a crappy car so he rather stays inside...2) It's a Chick car...3) The car is as bad as this commercial. Just a waste of marketing budget...

They could have done a much better job with a teaser commercial...

(The local car-dealer commercials are funnier)

edit - sorry for the rant...just one of the things I feel like bitching about today

plus, what does the VR6 has to do with anything...but since you mentioned it...I'm glad I got the VR6, defiently a much better choice for myself. thanks.

While not the greatest commercial in the world I was glad to see Ford stepping outside of their normal advertising boundaries.

Ron - that might be. My point is that if you already shell out the money for a teaser commercial, do something that 'makes' people want to drive/take a look at the new focus. This one was honestly laughable and a waste imho.

Just doesn't do it for me...

wow......how the heck can you be that gracious?

I thought it interesting that by the second time that commercial was on........anyone and everyone in my house, me, my wife, guests, heck my dog.........Focus fans all......we're calling out "mute this stupid thing"

If this is stepping outside boundaries, for all that is holy let them jump the heck back IN!

Look at the boring interior, it fits the commercial. No RS killing the SVT, someone hates the Focus in Ford.

I am going to have to agree with Ollie18 as I saw the Focus commercial for the first time last night and I was like WTF!?! then it ends,different commercial airs and then following that one another Focus commercial like it shows up but with someone yelling instead of the rooster.

I think Ford needs to redo the Focus teaser ad before too many people are turned off by it and start complaining because Ford is the one who will lose when they cannot afford to.
