New Member in the Family (lots 'o pics)

Wow, that happened a lot quicker than I thought it ever would, but I think I'm finally over the shock of suddenly becoming a new father. One fine day about a month ago the wife and I are minding our own business, driving by the local Ford dealer and BAM! Wife says I need a new car. A sparkly orange car.

So I say to myself; who am I to contend with the missus when she makes such a convincing argument? :lol:

So, just about a month ago (which was 4 days after we first stopped in to look at the car?!?!) we brought home a new baby sibling for Recall. 10 years younger, but just as bright, and just as much fun to drive.

Wife has taken to calling this one 'Mango'.
2011 Ford Fiesta SES hatchback in Yellow Blaze Tri-coat Metallic. 5-spd, SYNC, black leather interior, heated seats; loaded.

One month and 3500 miles later. Swapped out the chrome LED bezels for black ones and gotten the Fiesta it's own Euro plate:

According to the wife, I'm not allowed to 'mod' this one for at least a year. But she never said anything about stock-piling parts and leaving it in the shop for a week once it hits that one year mark. I'm holding her to it

To those following my Focus project, don't worry! It's still going to be around for a while and will become my 'weekend fun' ride. Which means that I have more time to put it up on blocks and tinker with it

I just love how it looks like 3 different colors depending on what angle and light you catch it at. Sometimes Gold, sometimes Yellow, sometimes Orange.

A neighbor of mine has that exact car. Every time I drive past it I can't help but stare. The color is strangely attractive. Good choice!

Needs:
*Drop
*Tint
*Black Wheels
*Black out the headlights
*Lightly tint the tails
*Paint the rear strip above the license plate body color
*Debadge
*Convert the rear drums to disk
*Exhaust

That should hold you over...................Oh wait, she said you had to wait a year........

Oh well, I'm sure you (and a good bit of us) will be ready to see what happens when that time is up!

It's totally her fault that we stopped to look at it too, lol. I'd been keeping tabs on the Fiesta (well, duh) but I never actually envisioned getting one right away. We drove by the dealer and I was like "oh look, there's one of the Yellow Blaze Fiestas, haven't seen that color it person yet" and Lorna spouts off "Well, lets stop and look at it!" Pretty sure I laughed and kept driving before seeing her serious face and pulling a u-turn. That was when we snapped the first picture; didn't hurt that the wife absolutely loved the shape and color or it.
