When I pulled the clutch/flywheel out of my T56 for the first time, it had ~32k miles on it and I had killed the clutch BAD and it was still in good shape. I'd bet you'll be alright.

yeah, that's the funny thing. the clutch is only BARELY slipping, and that's just on hard shifts. otherwise, it's fine. it'll start slipping by the end of a long night at the track a little worse, but by the next day i'm usually fine. right now i'm on the edge of whether or not i wanna do it. i know it won't be long, esp. if i keep up the track stuff. then again, it ain't dead yet and doesn't seem to be dying that fast. i just wanna be able to actually drive it the 80ish miles i need to get to the shop that'll do the work, but i guess i could always murder the clutch on the track (when the time comes) and just tow it up to the shop with the truck.

anyways, not a whole lot more going into the car after that for a while. trying to save up some cash for the wedding, a house, life, etc. right now. NOT spending $$$ on these toys is so hard, though, lol!

You wanna talk expensive clutches, the clutch blew out on our Ford 500 GT-R at school.(Ford 500 with Ford GT engine/drivetrain) We talked to the guys at Ford, and a new clutch is roughly $1500 for a stock unit for that drivetrain setup. Hopefully Ford will foot the bill on the clutch since it was their people that put a hurtin on that car running at the proving grounds.

ouch!

nah, i'm not really complaining about the cost of it. i just need to start becoming more 'budget-conscious' is all.
