I've been away for a while so I don't know if this is old news or not. Seems that they are going to put a Volvo motor in the new RS and 300 bhp and all wheel drive is going to be an option

wow, 2 things:

#1. those volvo guys seem like a bunch of conceited ninnies who put volvo above all else. get over it guys, you own a glorified ford now. welcome to the family. (aren't you glad you didn't pay for a jaguar that looks like a taurus?)

#2. 300bhp+AWD, sounds like Focus WRX STi. if cutting back on their works WRC team means putting more time/effort/money into producing a rally-worthy street car, then by all means. soon there can be a flood of privateers running factory AWD foci.

1. Some of the Volvo guys are conceded PITA. I give it to them all the time with their my [censored] don’t stink attitude.

2. If this car come to the States, I’m getting one, period

3. If this car does not come to the states in Ford trim, we may be able to pick one up as a Volvo C30 as this car has been given the go ahead to be built and is scheduled for 2006 as well.

4. This car will use the Volvo 2.5 Five-cylinder engine currently used in the Volvo S60 R!

The back is a little too sloped for me, but other than that I think it looks ok. It looks like a merge between the Focus and 96 Honda hatch.

well, if you've seen the new foci in europe, all the ZX3/5s look like that. it's not exclusive to the new RS version. it's all oogly. heh.

It may come, but it might not come as a Ford, they might ( or could and probably should ) go the A3 route and release this as an R model for Volvo.
