hmmm...don't know what to think?

I think it's fantastic. At first I was skeptical of the "inverted" alfa-esque snout, but now it's really growing on me. Something that all STi's have done. I've initially disliked their designs, but have grown to like all of them over time.

From the over head and 3/4 shots, the STI looks wonderfully agressive. Once again, I can see myself really wanting one of these. However, how good will the next full version be?

I like it but only because it is kinda Saab like to me and I am a Saab fan.

The alfa grill doesn't necessarily bother me, but the raised center portion of the hood does. It seems to ruin the body lines on the car. It just sticks out too far. It looks like it has a pig nose.

I can only think how much better the car would look without the enlarged center opening. Oh well.

not quite as bad as I feared it would be. but my first mod would be a hood/grill/bumper replacement.

Not bad...kind of looks like a SEAT or Alfa Grille.
*Ding ding ding!*

One of Alfa's old designers is now on the Subaru squad...hence the "resemblence".

I don't object to the new front end in this format, I object to the rest of the vehichle not matching, if Subaru was going to spend so much money retooling a front end for the third time in this models generational life, then why oh why didn't they just wait until they could redesign the whole freaking car. 2002 was a big departure from 2001, but we've got to live with the 2002 design body for how many years? The new legacy is sexy, and I don't expect the same for the impreza, but at least design a whole car at once.

I'm going to step out, stand tall and say:

"I like it."
Me 3.

Except I wish they'd offer the flared fenders on the wagon. I'd own a Scooby right now if they did.
