if that bar across the back of the of the C pillars is the said "roll cage" i would not trust that to save my life in a roll over.

 

There is no such thing as a V6 BMW.. All 6 cylinder BMW's are inline...

If memory serves me correctly there are several V6 BMW engines, none that I know of in the past 30 years. I think the smallest V8's were 3.0L

Wiki only lists automobile engines. I beleve it was a commercial engine. I was corrected by a Bimmer enthusist on this fact about 10 years ago.
