I am in the process of putting my car back to stock and am installing the stock components back and remived the turbo stuff. I am putting all the emissions stuff back on the firewall that was taken off when I turbo'd the car. Anyway...

Where do the vacuum lines on this part go?

What went here?

Also, I am getting a vacuum leak by what seems to be the fuel injector on cylinder 4. I spray carb cleaner near it and the car wants to stall. What the heck could it be? I'd imagine if it was one of the injector o-rings, it would be spewing fuel out too...does not make sense. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

The holes on the firewall are from the DPFE sensor. If you have the new style that mounts near the coil pack, nothing goes there. The part in the first pic is also part of the EGR system. I don't know which lines go where, but if it's not crappy out tomorrow, I'll try to get some pics for ya.

I thought the old style DPFE sensor went ABOVE the part in picture 1. The cars that came with the new style DPFE sensor still had the same holes in the firewall even though they were not used. Anyway, I do have the new style DPFE sensor...the one that goes by the coil. I was concerned about the holes on the firewall to the left of the part in picture 1. I think it is for something else, not the DPFE sensor. I could be wrong though. Pics would be awesome. :) Thanks!

Alright, I've got some pictures uploading for you, but I'll try to explain what goes where as best I can (I've got an 03, so things might be slightly different).

Pic 1 - top vacuum line goes to the EGR UFO thingy and the bottom line goes to the far right nipple (standing at the front of the car, facing the firewall) on the intake manifold

Pic 2 - vacuum line goes to the middle nipple on the intake manifold. (its the shiny thin line going down the middle of the picture)

Pic 3 - Nothing is attached to those two holes. Must have been in place for an automatic transmission or something...:dunno: My car doesn't have the insulation on the firewall, but you can still see the two holes.

EDIT: Oh, and once you get the vacuum line in picture 2 hooked up, I suspect that your stalling issue will go away. I'm not sure what that particular item is, but mine popped off on me the other day and it was running really crappy.

Thanks a million to both of you! I'll get the vacuum leak figured out this weekend. I'll keep you posted.

Got everything hooked up properly guys. Thanks a lot. Still having the leak by the cylinder 4 fuel injector. The local parts store was out of stock on the orings so I was S.O.L. for today. I am going to try and get that resolved tomorrow or so though hopefully. If it's not one thing, it's another.
