i have the focus sport racing headers with focus sport flex pipe and a hks exhaust. when i drive around 3rpms its gets alittle raspy. is there anyone to stop that ?

he cant... the focussport headers delete the cat

you have three options.... 1) leave it how it is and deal with a slight raspiness, 2) try to fit a resonator in the long section of the exhaust pipe.... idk if theres any room in there with the HKS exhaust though. 3) get a focussport stealth exhaust

have you checked all your flanges for leaks?

I've got the exact same setup as you and i don't have any raspiness in the revband at all.
I did a header swap this weekend, and I'm positive I've got a header leak. when driving I really notice it around 3000 rpm or so, under that it's not as noticeable. I'm pretty sure it's my flex, just a fyi

well i was thinking it was my flexpipe cuz when it was instaled it was very close to the bottom of car. could that be it

it could be rattling or heatshield rattling

I think that's a everything when it comes to the Focus. I have the FS LTH, flexpipe, and stealth exhaust and it gets raspy at 3,000 RPMs too. Anytime I hit between 60-65 MPH it gets raspy then quiets once I hit 70 MPH. I feel its a everyday thing but that's my opinion.

o.k. you will never get rid of that noise when your running an HKS catback. That big rear muffler doesn't help quite the noise either.

You may be able to quite down with a high flow cat installed or a resonator.
OR...
you can look into the new Tanabe GMedallion exhaust. I don't know if they are making it for our cars, but they say its the quitest exhaust on the market right now. (Other than the FS Stealth)

the HKS has nothing to do with the raspy sound.

I've had the HKS on my car for 4 years now. and the FS 4-1 header for 2 years and a FC flex and now an FS flex for the same amount of time and I don't get that raspy sound at any rpm.

I think your definition of "raspy" sound may be different from the o.p.

The exhaust sounds different while in the car compared to hearing someone get on it outside the car...but we know that.:)

at 3k rpm it tends to drone a lil bit, i will say that but i've never experienced any rasp.

MBRP's get raspy and I know what that sounds like.

and if your tryin to say itsounds like a can of bees...it doesn't
