Hey guys, I tried the search function but couldnt find anything. Is there a way to turn off the factory shift light? My 06 ZX5 and my '10 SES Sedan both have it and it drives me nuts. I WILL SHIFT WHEN I WANT TO SHIFT DARN IT!!!:bang: It was kind of neat when I first go the 06 but after the first week I starting hating it. If anyone can point me in the right direction, it'd be great. Also we may want to think about making this a sticky thread so others can find it in the future. Thanks again!

I believe you can pull the bulb from the back of the instrument panel, or you can go with a tune and change at what rpm it come on at

You can also cover the backside of the cluster transparency with electrical tape.

Thanks for the responses but I dont really want to tear into my dash just yet. I plan on getting a tuner but not for the next couple years. I may see if I can get a buddy from the local Ford dealer to see if their computer can somehow turn it off. I will let you know what I find out.

^^It takes about 5 minutes to get back there...Just a few torx bolts holding in the gauge surround then 4 small bolts holding the clear cover and gauges in, not a big deal at all.

Hmmm, well maybe I will give it a shot. Anyone know where I may find a haynes (or equivalent) repair manual for the 08+?
