Here is the link of it. It makes since since Sway bars are under the rules and Dampers are Eibach Pro Kit but they are revalved and the springs are different.

Now if they are Spec Focus Legal would they be a good bet? I don't know about the progressive springs but don't know if the other are or not progressive... THe price is something to look at... Complete kit for under $500

I dont think so even though they are rebadged Eibach stuff you have to have either the actual eibach kit or the Fr kit.

is the saleen kit more than the Eibach kit due to the name on it?

As far as the races go there hasn't been much by the way of competition for the multimatic. I think Homegrown2nr is one of the first if not the first ot be trying this out so we will see how well it does. There has probably been testing by leo and ted etc and they may have reason to use the FR kit or it could just be because they didn't have the Eibach option as a legal alternative at the time. Who knows

Sorry I do not see it in any of the rules that I have that the Saleen kit is legal. The 2008 rules like Ted said are being worked on now and will be out in November sometime. New parts must be submitted in writing and approved by the Spec Focus committee to be legal in 2008.

Well since it is a rebadges Eibach kit then it is legal as per the rules...

The struts say Eibach Pro on them, The Sway bars are (Eibach) but badged "Racecraft", 22mm in the front and 25mm in the back (Legal per the rules). The springs "Racecraft" are a 1.5" drop (Exactly the same as Eibach Pro-Kit). IMHO that is a rebadged kit.

I am trying to help you and I just want you to not have any problems at tech. If it is not in the rules and not approved you will have problems in tech. If there is any doubt the tech inspectors will go by the printed rules not your opinion. If you have any doubt please submit a rules request form to Ted or myself so it can be clarified and added to the 2008 rules so you do not have a issue.

It looks like the only questions would be the springs. The dampers already say Eibach Pro which are legal, and you can use any sway bars... Is there any proof that those springs are the same springs that come with the Pro-Kit?

We'll look at this.

So they have no base to actually advertise as NASA SPEC FOCUS legal...?!?!?!
No. They have to be the brand deemed by the Rules and Regulations NASA SF says.

Just go get some Eibach stuff. It's stupid to waste time and resources to get them to try to approve some suspension crap thats not even made anymore.

Yeah is not that I'm trying to get it approved it just seemed like a good deal ($500 including sways) and THey say in there site that it is legal so it just shocked me that they advertise it that way when it really is not... Isn't false advertisement illegal or something?
I don’t know if I would call it false advertising, because we know that it’s re-badge Eibach kit, they even say Eibach Pros on the Dampers which would pass tech anyways along with the sway-bars. It’s just the springs that are not listed.

We already allowed re-badge Eibach items from FRPP anyways. So, we have to be careful about allowing some re-badge Eibach kits and not others. Right now if he runs this kit, most likely the Tech Inspector at the event is going to go by what the rules state and the springs are not on the listed.

The board is going to look at this and go through the options if to add these springs to the rules. But, even still I believe someone could buy this kit and use FRPP or Eibach Pro Springs with it and it would be legal.

Lol.

They're just misinformed, not false.

They based the advertisement by what I was told in a PM conversation with Ted. That the kit was legal. If he is going to change his mind on that, then they will change their site to reflect that. It is not right to say that they are giving a false advertisment when the decision to put that on the site was based on a conversation directly with Ted ( the director). It's not a "crap" discontinued kit. This kit is an awesome deal for people looking to get into this series, which is what is needed to make the series more popular. I'm sick of people passing judgment on other folks or companies when they have no idea of the back story. So do me a favor take the immature crap out of here. You have to be an adult (over 18) to race so why don't you act like it?

Under the current rules the Eibach would allowed. I agree that the Saleen kit is just a rebadged kit. So, it would be okay.

Date: 22OCT07 Driver Name: Rodriguez, Jose Region: Mid West

Part Modification Request- Section: Suspension

Suggestion: The Saleen Suspension kit, which is essentially a rebadged Eibach Pro-Kit.

Reason: Affordable (While they are still available) suspension kit for those who are trying to break into
the series, without having to spend a lot money in the process (as opposed to the Eibach Pro-kit, market by Eibach).

It is sold by a reliable vendor who has them in stock, unlike the FR products which tend to be back ordered, etc.

Cost Implication:

See Above

Performance Change: (please provide specific evidence, i.e. dyno, video, etc)
The Struts say Eibach, the bars are F22mm and R 25mm, the drop is 1.5".

Notes: Please contact me at homegrown2nr@gmail.com if you need additional information.
