i think that would look pretty dumb on a focus, plus you're gonna want a helmet getting out, the doors on a dalorian are bent so you can almost stand under them, and im pretty sure they have hinges in the middle of the roof, not at the top of the door like i think your talking. You're going to have to pretty much kneel to exit the vehicle...unless you somehow get them to go straight up, which IMO would look pretty retarded...

 

or you can cut into the roof, and weld part of the roof and the door together. but only do it to the back doors and put a lsd door kit on the front. there is a jetta with this setup and a wbk and it looks so nice. i wish i could find the pics of it. thats just an idea for you about how to do your doors but give it a try i would like to see how it turns out

i think he wants to do like a delorian(sp?) but how many hatchbacks do you see with the gull wing doors? i think it would be cool.

You would have to seriously reinforce the top of the door to hold the weight or have some uber-gas shocks. Or cut part of the roof like on a Delorian.

I'd like to see a photoshop of that.

I agree it would be a very origional and cool mod on a hatchback, but i think it'd just look goofy on a sedan, the hatchbacks doors are much bigger, and gullwing doors flow better with the styling of the zx3, i just cant see it looking right on a sedan. The more i think of it, all i can think of when i picture a zx3 with gull wings is a beetle (the real bug not the car)

 

I always thought that rear Suicide's on a sedan would be pretty pimp...

 

I've seen them in person on a Focus. You'd have to break my arms before I'd let you think about doing that to my ST.
