the time is getting close to me getting the snow stage 2 mafs boost cooler kit ( http://www.snowperformance.net/product.php?pk=9 ) for my jrsc bbk zetec and have been doing some searching on here and am a little confused. i read that moving the iat can loose power but not moving it gives false readings.

so do i...

1. relocate the iat sensor to the port on jrsc inlet manifold and have the kit spray before the tb? (iat sensor will see this)

2. how do i relocate the iat, any links, how to's or pics?

3. leave iat where it is and spray w/m through the port on the rear of the jrsc manifold (iat sensor won't pick this up)

4. leave iat where it is and spray w/m before the tb (iat sensor won't pick this up)

i have a custom tune and will get it retuned once the kit is fitted. i intend to fit the larger reservoir in the rear with a level indicator on the dash so i will not run out and so risk engine damage.

To relocate the IAT sensor, all you would have to do is cut the first and last wire on the MAF harness and tie those 2 wires into your new IAT sensor.

It is not recommended to spray before the throttle body because it might damage your rotors or something like that.

If you spray after the IAT sensor, you will have no way of adjusting your tune based on air temps. Some say this is better because they don't recommend "tuning for wmi" and it should ONLY be used as a safety measure. Personally, I have a centrifugal supercharger and I'm spraying before the throttle body and IAT sensor. I haven't had any problems yet but I have only been spraying for a few months.

yeah, I agree with island here. even if the WMI doesn't work, the computer tune will work fine because it uses the IAT sensor to change the amount of timing that's in the system. with it after the sensor, you may see gains from lower charge temps, but not as much as if the computer knew what was going on.

I would NOT spray it before the IAT sensor due to the false readings issue... and I MOST definitly would not spray before the TPS... I have seen several TPS's short out due to the WMI going in before them... including mine.

The IAT sensor is NOT waterproof and boost will force water into them.

the Snow guys say that they have seen better numbers when the nozzle is before the TB, I have an Aquamist nozzle but the new connector that comes with the Snow kit will not fit at all just too small.
