The belt and idler are the same. However, the tensioner for the SVT has a different part number through Ford. What the difference is, I haven't been able to tell. This is why I get my timing parts from Steve.

 

CFM has the part numbers on their site. You'll see the part number difference.

 

I checked the part numbers on CFM for the Ford timing belts and there were two different numbers between the SVT and the regular Zetec. That's what got me scratching my head. But I looked at the Cloyes website and they list the same kit P/N for both engines. Guess I'll keep poking around.

 

I would just buy the kit from Steve. He sends it with a valve cover gasket and everything.

 

The tensioners are different, I believe the SVT has a heavier spring in it.

Certainly not a part you want to "hope" will be correct.

A question for Mr. Steve.

How much do you charge for a timing belt kit? I would need idlers, tensioners, belt, valve cover gasket, water pump and water pump gasket.

Those should work, but I would recommend getting the tool kit from Massive. More than likely it's better quality and shipping from across the pond sucks it's so slow.
