Tallguy, it'd be awesome to have you down there. There is so much that you can learn and observe even if you don't race. Plus you'll be able to get as many rides as you'd like with just a waiver signed. Well worth the trip. Were going to be meeting up at Tymeks' house in Coolidge on Friday night, and doing a little pizza and video games night before the event. Be cool if you could join us for that too.

Greg, not gonna happen. I've been pushing this event like mad and the thought of having any of your cars down to represent, would be stellar! Like I told Tallguy...if it'd work out better to come this way on Friday night, just chill with us at Tymeks' house. That's probably only an hour and fifteen minutes from Tucson max!

Come one Come ALLLLLLL.

Everybody is welcome to come down. Matter of fact I encourage EVERYONE to come down.

Ron I have an electric air compressor, is there any electricity near by to infate the tires for the track? :)
I've been out there 3 times previous to this and I've never thought to look. :screwy: I know there's nothing right at the track.

I'd say, if you've got the room, bring it and we'll see what happens. As other people noted there will be inverters and some DC compressors.

I know one of the Cobra guys has a tank that just barely fits in his trunk that he brings out fully pressurized so he doesn't worry about power.:D

We have an inverter and an air compressor too. Even though I won't have my car ready in time, I still plan on coming and watching. What are the rules about passengers? I basically want to learn as much as I can so I will be much more prepared for next time.
No rules. You just need to kiss up to the people that are driving to let you come along.:D

Hey, you're more than welcome. We normally do this twice a year so you'll be all ready for next spring.

I'm really leaning toward doing this guys! Someone please talk me out of it :)

You WILL attend or we'll send our resident belly dancer after you.

Besides, based on info from some of the SVTOA guys in Tucson, your drive is probably shorter than some of the people from the northern side of town here.

hmmmm...This looks interesting...
Go for it. I, for one, would be really interested to see how your RX-8 would do on a road course like that.

Yeah, I would too. The 3's were relatively competitive, so I'm sure the RX-8 would rock!
I had a RX-4 sport coupe back in the mid 70's. From what I can remember I'm sure it could be competitive even today.

I even had a personalized license plate for it that said HUMMER. Hmmm, I wonder if there's a statute of limitations on personalized plates that don't get renewed before they can be reissued. If that one is still in my name maybe I could auction it off to the highest bidder that has one of today's "Hummers".

Any recomendations for tire pressure to start off with?

It wouldnt be that good of a showing since I have coilovers but haven't had the car setup at all, plus I have crappy tires.
The tires might be an issue, but a bone stock RX-8 would perform very well. With the coils I'm sure your car would rock...come on out. Give it a whirl. :dunno:

Yay I get to come! (At least for the morning!) when does it start/end?
Right on Bro. It starts at 8:00 a.m. It's probably about a 45 minute drive from Tempe. There are directions on one of the previous pages, but if you need any more info just give me a call: 602.722.7794 (Josh)

Alex we'll chalk your tires in the morning to see how much roll were getting, but I'm thinking you should start them at around 35 psi.
