Had this thing for about 4 months now, and since i got it ive been lurking hard on the fj community. Im not new to working on cars, but with a new platform comes new questions and such, so i figured it was about time to show what ive done so far.
The car: 2006 zx3 5 speed in one of the silver colors (not sure which, basic bitch focus silver) with 79k when i got it, bone stock. First was the fs werks intake, then i got a 2.5" catback with a cherrybomb glasspack in the straight section right out of the cat (sounds absolutely stellar, il have to post a video). My last car was pretty low, but not as low as id like due to the lack of parts available (2002 saturn sc2 on subaru impreza coilovers) so i did it right and got ksports with the omni kit for her. Then came wheel shopping.... Settled on the esm 009r 16x8 and 16x9 et 30 in silver, wrapped in 195/40 front and 205/40 in the rear, assisted with ebay camber arms and spc camber bolts as well as dominant rear toe arms.
More to come soon, including cosworth intake mani, and race header/magnaflow header with the cat (live in cali, so will be staying n/a and will need all the fitments for sensors that i have so i dont throw codes) and the steeda short shifter hopefully...
As far as appearance goes, i have short open ended lugs coming so i can fit the center caps on the wheels, ordering the halo headlights (cant decide black or silver), probably an svt/spoon type spoiler or one like that dude with the black focus on here running 16x9 in the rear (forget his username), for sure some kind of front lip to fix the "snub nosing" of the front bumper (probably the mach 1 because ive heard it works) probably a tiny tiny TINY bit of fender rolling and possibly rusting the hood out (too soon? Too late?)
And for the spec junkies, adjusters removed from rear, and about 1/4 to 1/2 inch left to adjust in the front which il be fixing when the front lip shows up
But anyways, here are some pics from her first 3 and a half months of my ownership.
